o’clock, when Miss Jessie Boyd and
Mr. Samuel West Walker were mar
ried at the home of Mr. nnd Mrs. Cal
vin W. Parker, 31 Stephenson street,
Rev. J. A. Hannon officiating.
The bride’s only attendants were her
two little nieces. Misses Christine Bibb
and Grace LaRue, who were gowned In
dainty white ntull, nnd to the strains
of the wedding march from Mendels
sohn the little maids entered first, fol
lowed by the bride and groom, who
stood Just In the arch. During tnc
ceremony Mrs. John I^twls Holtzendorf,
accompanied by Miss Mamie Plund on
the violin, played softly "Heart* and
Flowers." The bride’s wedding gown
was of gray prepe de chine over gray
taffeta. After the ceremony an In
formal reception was held and refresh
ments served. The table had as a cen
terpiece a tall cut glass vase, filled with
exquisite roses, and surround Ing this
were quantities of handsome white
Japonlcas. In the hall Misses Alice
Boyd and Sara Salisbury served dell
clous fruit punch. 'The bride Is n sis

of friends. Mr. Walker Is a young
man of excellent business ability, ana
holds a position with Lott-Fain Com
pany. For the present Mr. and Mrs.

An Interesting event of the week
was the marriage of Miss Angellnn
May Eason and Mr. Arthur Calvin
Griffin, which took place Wednesday
afternoon at 5:30 o'clock, at the home
of Mr. und Mrs. 8. F. Floyd. The cere
mony was performed by Rev. J. A.
Harmon. The wedding inarch, played
by Mrs. J. L. Holtzendorf and Miss
Mamie Bland, announced the coming
of the bridal party, the groom and his
