The official call for the convention
haa been Issued by J. V. Solomon, su-

portant mattera are to be discussed, the
unil-Jug trill and a general prohibition
election in the state. •
The last legislature considered the
unt I-jug bill, but It dttf not come up for
final action. It Is understdod that It
will be brought forward again early In
the session next summer, and It Is as
serted that It has excellent ctianre for
passage.

J. L. White, of Macon, who was
third vice president of the Georgia

also have to organise. The official call
Is as follows:
Call for Convantiofi.
‘Matters of the grnvesl Importance
are confrotlng Georgians this year.
Never perhups In the history of this
state have OirMIuns and home-lovers
There are one hundred and twenty
dry counties In Geoigla and twenty-six
counties, mid every dry county
n tills state Is a common dumping
ground for the heartless wet counties.
And vain arc the protests and pitiable
are the cries for mercy, but the Jug
train runs right on. and every year the
l»eoplc of our beloved state, from the
mountains to the Henboard. are being
debauched by these few wet counties.
The time has come to call n halt. The
people hnve been outraged and sinned
against long enough. Relief must come
An nntl-Jug hill was pending before

In the session next summer. We have
most hearty assurances (hat this bill
