The following Ordinance baring been
road the eecond time, at a previous meet
ing, was put upon its third reading, and
the Mayor and Council, In-their behall, in
accordance with tbe abore Ordinance.
Petition of Isaac Rosser for relief, taken
up and referred te tbe Relief Commit
tee.
On motion tbe lint rale of order for tbe
government of Cooncil, was impended an I

AN ORDINANCE.
To amend the fifth Motion of aa Ordinance
entitled aa “Ordinance far the preferring
the peace, quiet, good order, and other
purposes herein mentioned."
fKAerau, “An Ordinance prohibiting
any person or person* from ibootiog with
10 y firearmt within 900 yard* of any dwell,
log or business home," not being ample to
protect persons from danger ; and whereas’
tbe firing of guns and pistols in open grounds
have subjected person* to mush danger and
bodily injury j
Btc. 1st, B* it ordained by the Mayor and
Council of the city tf Atlanta, and it it here
by ordained by the authority of the tame,
That do person shall, after the ptsssgo of
this Ordinance, shoot with any fire-arms
within tha corporate limits of said city, un
less it be i| a shooting gallery, wbiob shall
be undgr tha sanction of said Mayor sod

Sic. fid. Be it further ordained, That
say person nr persona who shall be convic
ted befotft tba Mayor or three members of
OouneU, .of a violation of tho foregoing Mo
tion of tbit Ordination shall be subject to a
fine of not exoeeding 50 dollars and coats of
tritl, or not exceeding; thirty days confine
ment in tha Guard house.

all ordinances and parts of ordinances con
flicting with this Ordinance, be and the
game are hereby repealed.
