days, Lucille is a graduate of G .S.
C ,W. and a most interesting young
lady.
And while I think of Lucille let
me just say this about Miss Eliza
beth. There is no spot in the city
that is more beautiful than the Parks
Memorial Hospital comer. The
shrubbery and flower* that have
been planted by Mias Elizabeth have
enhanced the beauty of this wonder
ful building.
Such interest that Mias Elisabeth
takes in this building ia rarely seen
any where. She is so proud of it
and takes so much pleasure in show
ing you through. I know of
worthier hands into which the care
of this building could have been
given than those of Miss Elisabeth
Thomas.
Little June Bell is a boy through
and through. He is smart and full
of life, and the characteristic that
makes him most interesting ia bis
independence. He acts just like a
grown man.
He has been going to school late
ly and although he is young for the
school room, he takes care of him
self and is among the brightest pu
pils.
I have teen Mrs. George Carpen
ter with her two daughters quite
frequently and they are certainly an
attractive pair of young ladies.
Their h&ppy, smiling faces signi
fies their friendliness and you can
help but stop and talk with them.
Judge and Mrs. Carpenter have a

Acre, which has been made into a
beauty spot by the artist! *ouch of
Mrs. Carpenter. It certainty looks
like a place that is lived in and you
arc not surprised thut there arc two
healthy, happy children living there.
One of the beautiful children of
Millcdhcville is little Ethrlyn J'cVi**-

her with he. mother ir, their big car
with the little dog playing ab&ut with
her.
I have been told thut the little
lady and her dog are inscpcrable
companions. The Boston terrier wns

The enterprising villager, did not)
stop at supplying their trade with
articles for sale, however. They (
established n woolen mill and the
farmers for miles around brought j
their wool here to be “carded.” It
was then taken to their homes and
spun on the old-fashioned spinning
wheels and woven into coverlets.
“It was more fun to nee the wool
come out from the rollers,” said Mrs.
G. G. Leguln, who is next to the
youngest daughter of Dr. J. A. C.
Wynn. Mr. and Mrs. Leguin live at
the top of a beautifully woodeu hill,
about three hundred yards above the
mill site. “You know, 1 was only a
