Miss Corinne Crawford is visiting

Mr. Robert L. Day, who has be-n
ill for several weeks past, left Social
Circle last Wednesday for Colorado
Springs. He was accompanied by
Mr. Linton S. Fowler, of this city.
Reports from various parts of the
county are that crops are in fairly
good condition. The farmers have
about cleared their crops of the grass
cotton blooms are making their ap
pearance.
The citv tax books closed last
Tuesday. The city tax assessors.
Messrs. P. L. Fair. L. H. Thomas,
and Capt. J. M. Caraker. will meet
today and go through the returns.

more than 100.000 democrats in two
years. Of the 121.431 new employes

There is no indication that the
federal payroll will fall below the
peak. Rather than any curtailment
officials expect a steady increase in
the next year through the operation
of the president’s work relief pro
gram.

parcel of land, situate, lying and be-

win County, Georgia, and bounded

and one-half (32 1-2) acres, more
or less, and bounded as follows: On

lands of W. L Proctor, and on the
west by the estate of Mrs. Jane
Youngblood.
The note secured by said deed is
in default, and is dated April the
1st., 1933, and renewal note given
October the 1st., 1934, and due April
the 1st, 1935, with interest at 8 per
cent from October the 1st, 1934,
signed by the said W. L Proctor
and payable to the order of the
Merchants Sc Fanners Bank of Mil
ledgeville, Georgia, for $500.00.
The said sale will be had and made
for the purpose of paying the promis
sory note above described, the inter
est due thereon, and the cost of this
proceeding.
A conveyance will be executed to
the purchaser or purchasers by the
undersigned as authorized by said
deed.
