The Commerce Public Library
is teaming up with the Sandy
Creek Nature Center to put on
a special program next Tuesday
afternoon at 3:30 for fourth and
fifth graders (youngsters aged
9 to 11). Called “Reptiles,” the
program will be an up-close look
at the lives and habits of lizards,
turtles and other cold-blooded
critters, with naturalists from the
nature center providing the infor
mation in a way that is specially
geared for this age group.
Participants can expect to have
a lot of fun, and to see not just
the critters, but also their eggs
and skins. Parents are invited to
call and reserve a place for their
fourth-grader or fifth-grader at
“Reptiles.”
“And don’t worry if your child
doesn’t fall in this age group,”
says Lisa Crumley, the library
staffer who is coordinating the
program. “We’ll be doing pro
grams for other age groups in the
near future!”

and then makes copies of the

free postage, so if you would like
for someone to receive this free
service, all the library needs is
