munity fall harvest festival
with activity booths from
2 to 4 p.m. and a chili and
hotdog supper from 4:30 to
5:30 p.m. Also, there will be
singing with “Divine 3“ from
6 to 8 p.m.
Sunday, October 5, old
fashion Sunday with Sunday
school from 10 - 11 a.m.
and worship service from
11 a.m. to 12 noon. Dress in
old time clothes and have a
picture made in an old car.

child dedication will be held

a.m. service will begin a six-
week “Fire Proof Campaign."
The purpose of the cam
paign is to strengthen mar
riages and relationships
within the church and com
munity, leaders stated.

Oct. Diabetic
Outreach Set
Rogers Baptist Church,
Commerce, will sponsor a
Diabetic Outreach Saturday,
Oct. 4, from 10 a.m.-l p.m.
To qualify one must have
Medicare or Medicaid as
their primary insurance, a
doctor must be in charge of
their diabetic care, do not
have to be on insulin and
must test their blood sugar
on a regular basis.
Those who qualify can
receive a free blood moni
toring device and the strips
used for blood sugar check
ing. Anyone 65 or older may
qualify for a free pair of
custom fitted shoes.

Women Help
Storm Victims
In response to those in
need over the last few weeks
from hurricanes, tornados
and storms, the women of
Commerce First United
Methodist Church will help
by preparing Sager Brown
kits for the victims of these
storms.
The church invites the com
munity to join with them in
this project for the rest of
Sept, and the first of Oct.
The finished kits will be
taken to the District Annual
Meeting on Sunday, October
12, for further distribution.
A list of items for the kits
and how they should be put
together can be found on

The finished kits can
be turned into the church
office, located at 54 Cherry
Street.

“Divine Three" will be the
special guests for home
coming at the Lighthouse
Congregational Holiness

Mission Fair To
Be Held Sunday
Nicholson Baptist Church
will host a Mission Fair
Sunday, Sept. 28, from 5 to
7 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
Missionaries from around
the world will share infor
mation about the countries
and people they serve.
Snacks will be served.
In addition, a food drive
will be held to benefit the
Banks-Jackson Food Bank
in Commerce. Donations
of canned, dried or boxed
food can be dropped off at
the church.

Oconee Baptist
Jamboree Set
Oconee Baptist Church,
Dry Pond, will hold its 10th
annual jamboree from 10
a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday,
Sept. 27.
The event will include free
food, singing by Four Fold
and family activities, such
as a “moonwalk," a pedal
tractor race, an antique car
and tractor show, a hay ride
and more.
The jamboree is free.

The Hollingsworth “Old
Time Gospel" camp meet
