Maysville United
Methodist Church will
hold its "Fourth Friday
Night Jubilee’' Friday, Feb.
27, at 7 p.m. The event is
intended to be all gospel
and all acoustic instru
ments. There will be food
and fellowship. Anyone who
wishes may bring a covered
dish or dessert of choice,
but it is not necessary. There
will be no admission charge
and the food is free. The

Commerce First United
Methodist Church’s youth
group will go on a win
ter retreat Friday through
Sunday, February 27 -
March 1, for Bible study and
fellowship in Pigeon Forge,
Tenn. There will be an out
ing on Saturday to Ober
Gatlinburg to ski or to snow
tube. The group will also be
a part of a community ser
vice project sponsored by
World Vision called “Hoops
of Hope." The money raised
will benefit orphaned chil
dren in Africa. For more

of Hope." The group will
also sell Krispy Kreme cer
tificates for $5 per dozen.
There is no expiration date
on the certificate. Profits
will help defray the costs
of the winter retreat. The
Youth Group is looking for
community service proj

Lister “Woman of the Year.”
She will be honored for her
outstanding character and

special Mass on Saturday,
Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. at the
Cathedral of Christ the King,
Atlanta. Also, during Lent
the Stations of the Cross will
be prayed every Wednesday
after the 12:10 p.m. Mass.
