OF WOMAN'S CLUB GETTING
BUSY.

dered. with the assistance of the Au
gusta Woman's Club arnerally, the
Public Health Department of the club

Inspector to visit every district that
waa reported to him hy a committee
from the Public Health Department
The follow inn are the committees that
have reported unsanitary conditions In
various parts of the city;
Mrs. T E. Oertal reports Enterprise
street, runnlnß from Orecne to the
canal, no New erase and most unsani
tary mud hole on the west side. The
report from the eurroundlnr neigh
borhood Is that a lot Inspector from
the Hoard of Health had for some
reason or other filled up the sewer
that carried the water from this mud
hole to the cansl proper, Also Cottage
street, running Ic the same direction

itary. woplar street and all the sur
rounding streets hav been inspected
hy Mrs Oertal snd found most unsani
tary and with a lack of adequate sew
erage.
Mrs. J. Willie I-sry reports Mill
street, running from Gwinnett, near
the thirteen hundred block of Flor
ence. and Florence street to Kollock.
Mrs. A. 11. Hrenner and Mrs Frank
Fleming report MoKinne street, run
ning from Gwinnett to Florence, and
also Florence street.
Mrs. K. B. Baxter reports Hamilton
street, running from lllcks to the
canal King Mill houses are reported
as having inadequate sewerage and
water standing in rainy weather, for
two or three weeks.
Mrs. Grenville Talbott and Mr*. Jeff
Thomas report most unsanitary condi
tion near and around Turpin Hill dls
trlcL the houses being swamped In
water by the overflow of ditches In
rainy weather. This property. It Is
said, Is handled by some of Augusta's
best known business men
Almost the entire drainage In that
section of the city Is surface sewerage
and requires the attention of the chain
gang every few months to keep It open
and in proper condition.

sented to aid the Public Health De

it is hoped that by the latter part of
thla month that the unsanitary out
skirts if the city will be In quite as
good condition, from a sanitary stand
point, aa any section of the city.

GIVE ANOTHER AUTO RIDE.
The Woman's Business Club oT the

other auto ride which they will give
Saturday afternoon, April 4th. The
drive will Include a visit to historic
old Meadow Garden and then finish
up with a ride to Stevens Creek,
where the wonderful dam will he
seen. These two points only will he
made on the drive.

The 1910 Minstrel Club which will

Children's Hospital. Is progressing

form.
