YESTERDAY
Augusta took the final mage of the se
ries lYoin Charleston by the score of live
to one. Johnson was a puzzle to the
visitors, while the locals bunched hits in
one inning off Melford and scored five
runs. The Augusta team left last night
for Albany and will not return home un
til the 15th of May.
Here is the game in detail:
FIRST INNING.
Mackert skied to center. Hamilton
flew r to left. Kussell walked. He stole
second. Marshall walked. Prough died,
third to first.
Norcott died third to first. Brugess
grounded out to first. Ashby singled
to left. Sabrle flew out to right.
SECOND INNING.
Bernsen was safe on Clark's error. Mc-
Millan out, second to first, Bernsen go
ing to second. Cain was hit by the pitch
er. Melfor lined out to third, who threw
to second, doubling Bernsen.
Clark hit a grounder to second and
was out at first. Brouthers went out,
pitcher to first. Kelly out, short " >
first.
THIRD .NNING.
Mackert grounded to Brouthers and
died at fivA. Hamilton flew cut to Ash
by. Rusell out. second to first.
Wheat singled through the box. John
son fanned. Wheat stole second. Nor
cott singled to left and Wheat went to
third. Norcott went to second when
the left fielder threw to the plate. Bur
gess hit to second too hot to handle and
Wheat scored. Norcott going to .hird,
Ashby hit to the pitcher r/ho threw to
the plate to get Norcott who scored.
Ashby was safe at first and Burgess o:i
second. Sabrle doubled to left, scor
ing both runners. Clark singled to right,
scoring Sabrle. Brouthers flew out to

Marshall popped out to third. Prough
walked. Bernsen hit to short and

tripled to center, scoring Bernsen. Cain

Wheat fanned. Johnson hit a liner
to second, which Bfrnsen knocked down,
but it went for a hit. Norcott fanned.

who fumbled and the bases were full.
