BIJOU REOPENS MONDAY;
ENTIRELY NEW POLICY
Will Be Three Changes n Week.
Prices 10 Cents, Afternoon;
10 and 20 Cents, Night.
The amusement seekers generally
have been inquiring as to when the
Bijou would open up. as the has al-
YR.va given amusement that is clean
and entertaining for « small price and
fills a place with the public that the
movies do not. The movies, let It he
understood, are o. k., but the Bijou
offers more variety. It Is announced
that the policy this season will surely
meet with public favor, as the man
agement has secured n. picture service
that in itself is worth almost the ad
mission price, which will he shown in
conjunction with musical comedy tab
loids that proved so popular last win
ter and flayed to capacity audiences
at Bijou. To a Herald reporter the
Bijou management outlined the new
policy of the house for this season,
which will he read with Interest by the
Btjouitea.
First of all the matinee prices will
he Just one-half what they were last
season ten cents to all seats. This
certainly sounds good. At night the
price* are cut again, the entire bal
cony being ten cents and entire lower
flooor (Including boxes) w*ll be only
twenty cents. This also should double
the popularity of the Bijou. However,
this Is not all three reel* of brand
new pictures that are tree from
“streaks" and ’Tain" will he a big fea
ture, as heretofore only two reels have
been run. However, the management
this season has decided to eater to a
larger volume of business and give
more than ever before. These two fea
tures are sure to increase the popular
ity of the Bijou and the •public will
doubtless respond to the liberal offer.
Then another new and pleasing fea
ture this season, under the new policy
will be that the Bijou will run contin
uously from i!; 30 to 5 p. m. and from
7:30 to 10 p. tn. Anyone entering oe
tween these hours will aee a full two
hours show And atlll another agree
sh|« change tn policy will be three en
tire and complete changes each week,
a new bill being given Mondays, IVed

“REEL LIFE” AT THE
MODJESKA THEATRE
Five different subjects are being pre
sented to the “reel” funs of the Mod-
Jeaka 'Theatre today and evening. Each
and every pietuve is interesting from
the beginning to the end. The program
j follows: “Motherhood." a powerful Beau
ty production featuring Margarita Fisch
er. A short synopsis follows: The girl
and the nran meet in love's garden, and
together they discover the flower of
love. They are married and all is hap
piness—until the call of motherhood
comes to the wife. In the garden baby
: faces in a vision appear to her. She is
rebellious, repulses , her * husband and
j takes refuge in her room, dreaming of
the coming of the child and its evil con
sequences. It seems tocher that the
boy brings discord and estrangement be
tween bis He himself Is sor
ry that he was ever born, and at last
pushing his mother aside and striking
his father he runs aw.iv. The woman
Wakes. She realizes that it is criminal
:o resist motherhood. Seeking her hus
band she r«y*fturefe him of her love and
together they rejoice in the coming of
I the child.
A Majestic production, “A Mother's
Influence,” Is also one of the interest
; iiig subjects being shown.
“The Hill of Life,” a decidedly thrill
ing Vitagraph production.
The famous Keystone laugh is too
well-known to explain, so here's the ti
tle, ‘An Incompetent Hero,” draw your
own conclusions.
The 21st episode of “The Million Dol
lar Mystery’* is also being shown today.
Some of the little mysteries that have
been running through the story are
solved in this interesting episode.
“Zudoro” is coming. This stupendu
ous production, which follows the series
of today, will be presented in twenty
episodes—each a luff . g and perplexing
mystery. The fft-st er>ode of the great
masterpiece will be presented to the
Modjeskait'es on December tha first. »
Lets get out of ’ this rather breezy
place and go to the fdodjes-ku, it’s com
fortable there.
