licit! is something .itrange to us: A11 i
nncenicn kicking at the platform of
ciple.s set up by tlioir own chosen
gates—by men out of their own ranks—
and crying out, “beware of demagogues
and their schemes,” and then turn right
about and say, “here! come this way. We
fools don’t know what we are doing.—
Let’s follow these fellows; they know
what’s best, for us,” or at least it sounds
that way. Now, farmers, if you are go
ing to have a plank or platform, stand on
it with both feet! and the lint fellow
who comes at you with Ids list, just stand
up to him and try as hard to pull him on
as ho docs to pull you off. You have
as much right to say what you «ee.d as
Any man. Say it and stick to it till you

Wo agree with Oscar that the sub

every one who has thought much upon
the subject is a great deal better inform¬

than they were before. But as for us ad

we have such politicians as brother Os¬

in regard to the third party. We don’t

in the matter. We said, “if,” making a

Now,-as to bis democracy liis clcfnii

granting special privileges. The sub
