These gentlemen say that their

further, that the masses in their

Em ion Hustler of Rome:
Dear Sir:—After looking over
the fie’d pretty thoroughly. I wish
to suggest to the Democracy of
Floyd county the names of
Dr. Eben Hillyer, Judge R. R
Harris and Mr. Jack King as a
combination of ability that Floyd
c unty needs just at this time to
represent her in :he legislature. I
w-mld like to hear from other
Democrats on the subject,
Yours truly,
“A Voter.”

INDUSTRIAL INSURANCE
In the closing days of 1893 oue
of the most astonishing achieve
ments in the history of life insur
ance was announced by the Me
tropolitan Life Insurance Compa
y. The company’s ‘ Weekly Bul
letin” beariuy the date of .Decem
ber 30 made public the fact that
during the last canvassing week
of 1893 the agents of the Metrc
politau turned in no less than 80,-
361 applications for new policies
This is almost a larger number
ot applications than 'he biggest of
tne giant companies writing regu
lar life insurance receive in a
whole year. When, in October
last, the Metropolitan’s agents
wrofe 68,000 applications in one
week, it was supposed that the
high-water mark had been reacned
—even in the Metropolitad’s busi
ness But on the very next trial
the record is carried beyend the
80,000 mark.
