lies east of said road in the new district. And
your petitioners show that there is in said ter
ritory east of said road, a captains comp my of
able bodied white men subject to military
duty and that after said territi. ry is cut oil and
established into a new district t. ere would still
remain a captains company o. able bodied
white men in Watters distric:, subject to mili
tary duty that are residents. And your petit
ioners furth r show that it is necessary and
expedient to establish such new militia dis
trict embracing said territory east of said
road, that it will beapublic convenience to all
citizens in such territory, for it will make the
election precincts nearer to the voters and the
justice of the Pea e and Bailiffs. Will be more
convenient to the citizens o' said new district
that it would be more convenient to give in
and pay their taxes if the new district be so
established and the prectnc* fixed in a central
p.-rt of said dis-rict. And they further petition
you name such new district Kidge Valley
if you should establish said tvrri ory intoa new
militia district. Your i etitiouers pray said
new district to lie laid out and established in
terms .f the law, and that Commissioners be
appointed in term* of the law to lay out said

lying and being on the east side < f the Calhoun
road that leads from Koine to Calhoun begin
ning at the Rome Dist. ine.on the macademized
road at Adolfus Harbor’s land and fo’.lOwngsaid
road to the Gordon count v line so as to include
all land now in Watters Dist., that lies east of
said road in the new district.
It is ordered that you, or-i maiori yof you,
go upon the premises and view File proposed
change as indicated above: and if you find it
necessary and expedient you must procaed to
lay oux and d> fine the same an i mike your
report under oath to this Hoard on or
before the first Monday in June next that
you have laid out and define•• the line- of said
new district, conformably to law.
