Hr. Banninj’s Body Braces
7’he following letter, among many, have been ad
dressed to the Doctor ;
Mili.kugevxli.e, July 12, 1847.
Du. E. P. P.anmng:
Sir—We are happy to inform you at your re
quest, of the success with which your Body Braces
are meeting with us—The community seem inter-
I ested upon the subject, and the few that my moth
' cr has sold here have given signal satisfaction. As
it regards my own experience in reference to your
instruments, I tan comprise the whole in a few
words.provided! find words sufficiently strong and
explicit to relate that experience. When I con
sulted you at Mrs. Huson’s I must confess that i
dib it with a great want of faith in the utility of any
medical agent, either internal external, or a;e
chaaical; but being Curious, as we naturally'arc. I
lelt unwilling to suffer any c hancc of rebel to escape
me without a trial. I there lore had one of your
Braces fitted to me which S have worn almost
i constantly since, an i fel to-dav that it has dotio
! more toward, the restoration of not only my lungs,
but whole system, than any other application ever
usad. i have had no hemorrhage from the lungs,
neither have I suffered from any spinal or uterine
inconvenience since J have been using the Brace,
and my voice Jong impaired by bronchitis is
greatly improved in brilliancy and volubility. That
ennui and overshadowing melancholy which is .llte
inseparable attendant upon disease, i< greatly dis
sipated, and I flatter myself, sir, that a very few
months can elapse before I find myself, both men
tally and physically, restored to perfect health,
i As the comprehension of all things must first come
before appreciation, your reward, though deferred
for a while, will at length come in its full and me
j rited fruition..
With great rerpeet, Ixm truly your friend,
REBECCA 11. RICH.
Those wishing to make trial of the above Brace,
can be furnished with all necessary information by
calling on my Agent in Augusta,

Nkwington, Con., Feb. 1, IS to.
Mr. S. W. Fowle ;
Sir—Having purchased of Mr. Charles P, WcJJs,
y our agent at Hartford, Wistar’s Balsam of Wild
Cherry, and being so much gratified with its ef
fects in my own case, I am disposed to give you
and the public a statement of my case—that others
simila-ly afflicted may avail themselves of the ben
efit to be derived from this truly a lit a hie medi
cine.
1 was taken with bleeding at the lungs about the (
last of April, 1845. I immediately .supplied tc a j
physician and followed his direction* for a consid- j
crable time; but 1 still continued to bleed every
few weeks, and to all appearances 1 was rapidly
sinking to the grave. 1 then applied toother phy
sicians—and although under the treatment of some
of them, 1 became a little mo-c comfortable, yet
the bleeding recurred every few weeks until I had
the-seventh, at which time the quantity of blood
discharged was near half a tea-cup. Every suc
cessive attack seemed to reduce me lower—till at
last 1 had no appetite. I had a severe pain in my
right side, so that 1 could life rdly turn myself in
hod without help—and the pain at times wa«so so
) verc that I could not refrain from groaning. At I
times I also had a severe pain in my chest and left j
side. I now asked my physician what he thought
of mv cuse. He replied that J ought to know the
'worst of it —that he thought U- hould not get well.
Elm vwas on the loth of September. 1 then por
ch* ce at the -tore of Mr. Wells a bottle of Wis- j
tar s Balsam. 1 continued louse it—and from the
lirstktwo hin'le- I did not notice's* Mr Ji benefit, ex
cept that my appetite became better and an ulcer
upon a v loop’s discharged, after which. I became
comparatively free from pain. After taking the
third buttle 1 gained in llesh us much as one pound
per week, fi r li'-’e weeks. J have now taken -even
bottles, and art aide to no a good -deal of work in
mv shop ; and although 1 am not cptite as strong as
formerly,! have every prospect of becoming so. i
would therefore recommend to the public WTA
TAR'S BALSAM as being a most invaluable med
icine. and one . v try way worthy of their entire
confidence. I have not a doubt that through the
blessing of God it has been the means of raising me
from the grave. \ ours, *Ac.,

“Dr. D. Jayne, No. 8 South Third-st.. Philadelphia.
Dear Sir >—l have this day had an interview
with the gentleman of whom I made mention to
: you as having taken your EXPECTORANT with
such decided effect. He is,a reysnectablc farmer,
living a few miles from here. I was so much in
terested in a detailed account he gave mref his
cough and cure, that'l embrace the first leisure
moment to communicate Jt rto you, and if the cure
j is as radical as it appears to be. it As the .most re
markable one I have cret known.
'tor 32 years (after having the measles) he has
been saffering with, a cough of the most distressing
kind, getting worse as he advanced in years, 4he is
now 55.) Frequent turns of coughing, and difficul
ty of breathing, lasting from an hour to an hour
ajid a half, would come upon hun with suck seve
rity as tc exhaust him, with strangling until kis
j eyes fee cam* k’cedskct. He.had despaired of be-
f ing cured, having Died physician* and a thousand
■ t things without relief. For nine weeks immediate
j ly previous to his taking the Expectorant, he had
been under the care of an eminent physician, and !
i hearing his cough, I recommended to him your
Expectorant. He first said he had tried so many
’ thing# that he had no confidence in anything, but
I induced him tc t akc a bottle. I>v telling him ol |
persons of my acquaintance who had been cured
by it. This was on Tuesday; that night lie took
of it, find says that it was the first comfnrtable
night's sleep he had enjoyed for years. On the
11turs Jay following, (only two days afterwards) lie
, went to work, and lias continued to make a full
i hand on his farm ever since, (now nearly two
; months.) He told me to day, that for the lust
! week he had and split a hundred rails, or made
; 100 panels ol fence per day, has been in the water
to wash his sheep, and otherwise exposed, vvith
| out the least symptoms of a return <-j his cough, it
haring entirely disaopeared, and strangest of ail,
one-third of a bottle l.as produced the effect. He
seems so thankful and overjoyed, that he ‘* wants to
: talk all day about it,” and says that if he could not
procure another Ix*ttic. lie would refuse 100 for
| the remainder of the bottle he has left.
