GEORGIA SARSAPARILLA,
PREPARED BY
J. DENNIS, M. D., AUGUSTA, GA.
FOR DISEASES of the Liver and to purify
the Blood.
Dr. D. has made his preparation as pure as pos
sible. Its bitter taste corresponding with the
taste oi thejroots, proves its purity. Its beneficial
effects in diseases el the Liver prove it to be the
most useful preparation of Saisapariila that is
made.
The prevalence of diseases in the Southern cli
mate, arising from an inactive ,‘tate of the Liver,
ai;d the effect of this Sarsaparilla in stimulating
the Liver to increased action, causing by its alte
rative and mildly purgative effect the removal of
morbific agents from the Blood, have induced the
Proprietor to use the pure Sarsaparilla and noth
ing ei?e in this preparation.
For other diseases Physicians using this prepa
ration in their practice can combine.or prescribe
with it such articles as they may consider the most
appropriate ii cases under their treatment
As tnose who use the Georgia Sarsaparilla and
find benefit from its usi—recommending it to
others, ard the last increasing demand, proves that
the labors cf toe Proprietor touiahc a good arli- le

HEBREW* PLASTER. I
THE GREAT REMEDY,
Gcut, Pain in the
feide, Hip. Back, Limbs and Joints, Scrofu
la, Kind's Evil, White Swellings, Hard Tumors,
Stilf Joints, and all fixed Pains whatever. Where
tlm Plaster is applied pam cann t exist.
These Plasters possess the advantage of bmng
put up in boxes—hence they retain their
full virtues in all climates.
Have you Friends going to California ?
By all means advise them to take along a supply
of this Plaster, it may save them hundreds of dol
lars, if not their lives, as the exposures which they
have to endure in the mines is sure to bring on dis
ease, which might be easily cured by the use of
this celebrated Plaster, for the want of which
many have been obliged to quit their labors and
fail into the hands of the physicians, who, by their
extravagantly high charges, soon take away the
hard earnings of the bravest la; oring man. By
sleeping in tents or on the ground, Rheumatism,
Spinal Disease, Stiff Joints. Lame Back or Side,
and all like diseases, are sure to trouble them, and
many t mes entirely la} them up, when the sim
ple application of this Plaster would give them im
mediate relief, and enable them to proceed with
their labors without deiay.
It has been very beneficial in cases of weak
ness, such as Pain and Weakness in the Stomach,
Weak Limbs, Affections of the Spine, Female
Weakness, &c. No female, subject to pain and
weakness in the back or side, ahoul< be without it.
Married ladies, in delicate situations, find great
relief from constantly wearing this Plaster.
The applications of the Piaster between the
shoulders has been found a certain remedy for
Colds, Coughs, Phthisic, and Lung Affections, in
their primary stages. It destroys inflammation
by perspiration.
A VOICE FROM GEORGIA.
Read the following testimony from a Physician.
Gentlemen : Your Hebrew Plaster has cured
me of pains of which 1 have suffered for twelve
years past. During this period I labored under an
affliction of my Loins and Side, and tried many
remedies that my own mi-dical experience sug
gested, but without obtaining relief. At length I
used £our Plaster. I will recommend the Jew
David or Hebrew Plaster to a.l who are suffering
from contraction of the muscles, or permanent
pains in the side or back.
The people of Georgia have but to become ac
quainted with its virtues when they will resort to
its use. Yours, truly,
M. W. WALKER, M. D.,
Forsythe, Munroe county, Ga.
To Messrs. Scovii & Mead, New Orleans, La.
JEW DAVID’S, OR HEBREW PLASTER IN
NORTH CAROLINA.
Messrs. Scovil & Mead : I have been trou
bled with the Chronic Rheumatism for the last
twelver years. On the Ist of July, 1849, I was so
bad that I could not turn myself in bed, and tbs
pain so severe that 1 hud not slept a wiuk for six
days. At this time my attending physician pie
s~ribed the Hebrew Plaster, and” it acted like a
charm j ‘.he p.du left me, and I slept more than
bill ot the night, and in three days i wis able to
ride out. I consider the Hebrew Piaster the best
remedy for all sorts of pains now in use.

For the removal and permanent cure of
ALL DISEASES ARISING FROM AN
IMPURE STATE OF THE BLOOD,
OR HABIT OF THE SYSTEM.
AMONG the many and important discoveries
of this eneration,is one whose fame will
be written, as with a sunbeam, in the history of
the past. SANDS' SARSAPARILLA stands
forth alone, and by its own works proclaims its
power—that mute eloquence so irresistibly effect
ing in the appeals of the suffering for releif, has
been answered. Thousands of cases of disease
have been cured by this invaluable medicine, such
as are not furnished in the records of time. These
things are not done in secret places, or in some
unknown town, but are performed in our princi
pal cities and public places. |They are brought
before the world to substantiate, beyond doubt, the
healing virtue s of this preparation ; and the facts
unfolded, although gigantic, are as plain as the
light of day.
The Saisaparilla is combined with the most ef
fectual aids, the most salutary productions, the
most potent simples of the vegetable kingdom j
and its unprecedented success in the restoration
to health of those who had long pined under the
most distressing chronic maladies, has given it an
exalted character—furnishing, as it does,evidence
of its own intrinsic value, andrecom i ending it to
the afflicted in terms the afflicted only can know.
It has long been a most important desideratim in
the practice of meuicine, to obtain a remedy sim
ilar to this—one that would act on the liver, stom

•SCROFULOUS AFFECTION OF THE EYES.
Winchester, Ky., Oct 29, »849.
A. B. & 1). Sands- Gentlemen: I would not
have presumed to write to you, if it was not my
duty to let the public know the almost miracious
effect your Sarsaparilla has had upon me. My
limbs were covered with ulcerous sores, so that 1
couid not walk during the whole spring a» d sum
mer. In this situation I commenced the use of
your Sarsaparilla, aud after taking two bottles was
entirely cured. I must al o tell you of another
wonderiul cure My brother was afflicted with
this scrofula in his herd, so b id his physician told
him tho loss of his sight was inevitable, ami perm
anent blindness seemed obe h,s fates, Three bot
tles entirely rest- rod bis sight, aud we cannot but
recommend all similarly afflicted to use bands'
Sarsaparilla. Yours truly.
