PROF. A, C. BARRY'S TRICOPHE
ROUS,
OR MEDIC AT ED COMPOUND.
INFALLIBLE lor renewing, invigoiating and
beautifying Übe HAIR, removing the scurf,
dandruff, and all affections of the scalp, and curing
s eruptions on the skin, diseases of the glands, mus
cles and integuments, and relieving stings, cuts,
bruises, sprains, die. With this preparation’‘there
is no such word as fail.” The first journals in
America, medical men of the higLest eminence,
0 prominent citizens of ail professions, and ladies
who have used it for years in their dressing rooms
and nurseries, admit with one accord, that for im
parting vigr , gloss, luxuriance and curl to the
hair eradicating scurf and dandruff, heating
wounds, curing contusions, sprains, stings, &-C-,
and relieving diseases of the skin, the glands and
the m iscles.it has no equal among the multitude
of compounds advertised in the public prints, or
use - in private practice. In cheapness as wed as
efficacy, Barry's Tricopherous isunrtvalleu. The
immense cash sales of the article have enabled
the inventor to supply it at retail, at 23 cents per
bottle, which is from 50 to 100 per cent less tnan
the pr-ce of any other preparation for the hair now
in ’.se.wThe scien ific treatise on the hair and the
skin, (embracing valuable diiections for the cul
ture and preservation of Nature's choicest orna
ment,) in which each bottie is enclosed, is alone
worth the money.
The affinity between th ; membranes which con
stitute the skin, and the hair which draws its su»-
enance from tbis triple envelope is very close.—
Ail diseases of tbe hair originate in the skin of the
head. If the pores of the sea p are clogged, or ii
the blood and other fluids do not circulate treel)
through the sma.. »essels which feed the root with
moisture, and impart to the fibres, the result is
scurf, dandruff', shedding of the hair, graveness,
dryness and harshness of tbe ligaments, and entire
baldness, as the case may oe. Stimulate t e stun
to healthful action with the Tricopi.erous, and the
**■7 toipid vessels recovering their activity, will anni
hilate the disease. In all affections of the skin,
and of the substiata of muscles and integuments,
the process and the effect are the same. It is
upon the skin, the muscular fibre, and the glands,
that the Tricoph*-rous has its specific action, and
*in all affections and injury of these organs, it is a
sovereign remedy.

ISAAC BROOKS', JR., CASE!
6 rO and. see him and you will say the half has not been
told!!!
We the undersigned having visited Mr. Jssac
Brooks, Jr., at the office of Messrs. Rowand &
vValton, 373 Market street, Philadelphia, consider
his case the most remarkable one we have ever
witnessed or heard of.
His disease was Scrofula, and terrible must have
been his twelve years' conflict with the destroyer!
His Palate, the entire roof of his Mouth,Nose,Upper
Lip, and lower lid of the Eye have been destroy
ed, nis Face nearly eaten up, and part of the Jaw
Bone carried away. And yet we can give no de
senption of his case.
Mr. B. informs us that in J anuary last, the whole
interior of his mouth, as well a- most of his face
was a mass of deep and painful ulcers.
On the 14th of January last, ne commenced ta
lcing Dr. Cullen'slndian Vegetable Panacea,which
checked the disease in a few days, and from that
time the cure has progressed without intermission.
New flesh has supplied the place of the deep ul
cers, and though badly disfigured, his face is sound
and his general health is restored.
We are assured that in the treatment of Mr.
tirooks'easeno Mercurials, Ointments, or Caustic
applications have been used, —in fact, the Panacea
clone, has wrought this wonderful change.

For the Cure of
COUGHS, COLDS, HOARSENESS,
BRONCHITIS, WHOOPING-COUGH,
CROUP, ASTHMA, AND
CONSUMPTION
THIS remedy is offered to the community
with the confidence we feel in an article
which seldom fails to realize 'he happiest effects
that can be desired. So wi*’e is the field of its
usefulness, anil so numerous the cases ol its cures,
that almost even section of the country abounds
in persons, publicly known, who have been re
stored from alarming and even desperate diseases
of the lungs by its use. When once tried, its su
periority over every oilier medicine of its kind, is
too apparent to e cape observation, and where its
virtues are known, the public no longer hesitate
what antidote to employ for the distressing and
cangerous affections of the pulmonary orgaus,
which are incident to our climate. And not only
the formidable attacks upon the lungs, but for the
milder varieties of Colds, Coughs, Hoarseness, &c.
and for children it is the pleasantest and safest
medicine that can be obtained. No family should
be without it, and those who have used it, never
will.
Read the opinion o' the following gentlemen,
who will be recognized in the various sections of
country where they are located—each and all as
merchants of the first class and of the high
est character—as the oldest and most extensive
wholesale dealers in Medicine with an experience
unlimited on the subject of which they speak. If
there is any value in the judgement of experience,,
see
THIS CERTIFICATE.
We, the undersigned, Wholesale Druggists,hav
ing been for a long time acquainted with Ayer’s
Cherry Pectoral, hereby certify our belief that it
is the best and most effectual remedy for Pulmon
ary Complaints ever offered to the American peo
ple. And we would, from our knowledge ot its
composition, and extensive usefulness, cordially
commend it to the ifflicied as worthy their best
confidence, and with the firm conviction that it
will do for their relief all that medicine can do.
