The first Wednesday in January
next is election day for county officers
Let every one turn out snd»T>elp swell
the vote.
Senator Gordou is reported as hav¬
ing joined the farmers’ band. Where
1* your lk4»eb now to atop and break
down the Farmers', Alliance? Echo
answers where.
Dr.'C. W. McCune seems to be the
liveliest corpse in thefcountry, to have
been Juried so often, in different por¬
tions of Georgia after the} election for
senator. We wouldjnot be at all sur¬
prised, to see someTof those who, took
auch an "interestjn those premature
proceedings, yet dancing to his music.
We are in receipt of a sample copy,
of the “Georgia Alliance Monthly,”
edited by W. H. Burgess and publish¬
ed in Atlanta, Ga. It is devoted to
the interest of the Farmers’ alliance,
and proposes to fight monopoly where
ever found. It is certainly ably edited
if the sample copy is a criterion to
judge from, and properly supported by
the firmer*’ organSzatiou, will yield a
powerful influence for the good of the
order. Price of subscription 50 cents
per year.
SENATOR GORDON.
We are in receipt of a letter, from
our representative in Atlanta, stating
that Senator Gordon has become heart
end soul with the farmers alliance, he
(ffitrion) having joined the order on
Saturday last. We have no doubt
but that this action of Senator Gor¬
don, will be a bitter pill to those who
snpperted him upon the supposition
Chat his election to the senate would
prove a death blow to the farmers
alliance in Georgia, if not in the entire
South. We have no duaubt, but that
the curses of such, will be bitter and
deep, if not loud.
This action of Gen. Gordon, will
add much to the strength oi the order
throughout the entire country, and
makes it irresistible in Georgia. We
extend the right hand of fellowship to
you, Senator Gordon.
THE FORCE BILL.
The Republican party in congress
seems bent on passing the election bill
regardless of the protest entered by the
people in the November election at
the ballot box.
They are determined to persist in
their rule or ruin policy, regardless of
the consequences to the welfare of the
peopla of the whole country. Unless
the action of the farmers’ allisnce^at
Ocala, Fla., in their unanimous oppo¬
sition to the enactment of said bill,
shall open their eyes to the danger ol
longer tampering with the rights and
liberties of the people, then nothing
we can conceive of will stop them in
their revolutionary proceedings, but
an uprising of the masses, in rebellion
against their usurped powers. No
other government under the Sun
would have dared to proceed in the
course that the republicans are pursu¬
ing at present, after such an expres¬
sion as that given by the people in
November in opposition to their acts.
In England such an expression would
have caused the downfall ol the ad
at once and a complete
Govvrnuient.

EVERY THING ELSE FAILED.
I am sow 28 year* old, and from
the time I wa« seven years of age un¬
til 1885,1 suffered Irons a severe case
of scrofula. Doting this time I took
a known remedy, but to
every no pur¬
pose. My father took me to North
Carolina, where I waa put under the
treatment of an eminent physician.
The medicine given me had only a
temporary effect, for shortly after my
return the scrofula broke out in a
more malignent form, aad I was worse
off than ever before. In 1885 1 dis¬
continued taking all other medicines
and commenced taking Swift's Specific
(S 8 S) I took a number of bottles
and it cured me. I have been free
from scrofula from that time until
now. T. A. Sizemore,

RESTORED I1ER HEALTH.
For 25 years I have suffered from
boils, erysipelas and other blood effec
tions; taking during in that time
great quantities of different medicines
without deriving any perceptible re¬
lief. Friends induced me to try
riwilts Specific (S S S. ) It improved
me frcttd the start, and alter taking
several bottles restored my health as
far as I could hope for at my age,
which is now 75 years.
