Humors of a Cubau revolution have

The fact of the matter is: A Cuban

A GOOD WORK.
The work now being done in Bruns
wick by tiie civic league should be
commended by our people generally.
A few public spirited ladles, with civic
pride, have taken charge of a number
of our squares and, by hard
work,, have succeeded in making them
a credit to the city. Heretofore these
places have presented the appearance
of a hog pen, or the like; were a dis
grace to our city, and not a few of
the visitors this summer have
commented on the appearance of
Jekyl square, opposite the court house
It demonstrates that our people take
pride in their city; that, they want
some|hing to attract fte attention
of the visitors. To let them know that
we appreciate flhelr visits.
The few enterprising and energetic
women who are now engaged in this
good work should he joined by others,
ami the people of Brunswick generally
sbuld give them encouragement and
support.
THE NEED OF A HOTEL..
The present summer has demon
strated to the people of Brunswick
the need of a first class hotel at St.
Simon.
Hundreds of people have visited the
popular resort during the past two
months. Hundreds of others would
have gone there had the island offered
ample accommodatlons.
f3i, Sittion Is, beyond any doubt, the
best summer resort in the south; it
has the surf, the beach, the delicious
breeze. Is easily reached, and has ev
thing else that goes, lo make an ideal
place for the tired people to resi in
comfort for a tew weeks.
There lias been rumor after rumor
that "St. Simon would have a hotel
sure by next season." Tills ruinoi
is now current in the city and wo cer
laiuly hope there is some truth in
It.
The party that so invests ids money
will receive it hack with a handsome
interest in the course ul a few years
