REPORT OF THE COMMISSION.
We have read with a great deal of
iiilen | I :ißi<l disgust, too—the re
port of the prison commission in re
gard to l he whipping of Mamie PeCrls,
and the more we think about the mat
ter tiie more disgusted we feel. The
blood of any person who lias a spark
of manhood toils when he reads tills
weak report of the men Georgia has
named as the prison commissioners.
It is, absolutely, worse than no report
at all; it is adding insult to injury. It
is a disgrace to southern manhood and
citizenship.
