In this preparation we have all the restorative properties
ot tho root, concentrated in their utmost strength and
efficacy ; but w hile Sarsaparilla Root forms an impor
tant part of ita combination, it is, at the same time, com
pound with other vegetable remedies of great power, and
it is in the peculiar combination and scientilic niannre
of its preparation, that its remarkable success in the cuer
of disease depends. It acts simultaneously upon tho
stomach, the circulation andlhe bowels; and thus three
prHo#ses which are ordinarily the result of three differ
ent kinds of medicine, are carried on at the same time,
through the instrumentality of this one remedial agent,
which gently stimulates while it disinfects and expels
from the stomach and bowels all that is irritating, and
at tho same time restores their vigor and tone. Its great
merit is, that it meets and neutralizes the aetve principle
of disco: e itself, and when that is gone, the symptoms
necessarily disappear ; and we have only to point to the
accumulated testimony of multitudes who experienced
its effects, to com inew ine edulity itself of its real value.
The Proprietors submit to the public the following
certificate from a highly respectable source, of a cure
made by u: ing their preparation of Fann; arilla :
New York, Feb. 17,1849.
Messrs. Sands:—Having suffered n\auv years with
a disease- of my throat, affecting the larynx, during which
time 1 was treated by the most dfetinguihhed physicians
klurope and the United States, without receiving any
permanent benefit, but all the time my general health
and strength declining, and the disease making fearful
progress : caustic applications were used, and whatever
| else wasthoughtniost efficient for producing a cure;
but lam confident the deplorable situation 1 was in, the
laryngitis being accompanied w ith phthisis and great
difficulty in breathing, would soon have terminated my
life, had 1 not obtained relief through the medium of
your iuvaluable Sarsaparilla. I must say gentlemen,
when l commenced using the Sarsaparilla 1 did not
place much confidence in its virtues; and this will not
surprise you, when you are informed 1 luul tried more
than fifty different remedies during the post four years,
without any success; butafier taking your Sarsaparilla
it few weeks. ] was obliged at last to yield to evidence.
This marvellous specific has not only relieved but cured
me; and 1 ihe-efore think it my duty, gentlemen, for
the benefit of suffering humanity, to give you this attes
tation of my cure. A ours, very truly,
