of improving and cheapening the methods by

To tin Delegates to Seventh Session —We hereby
inform the Delegatoe to the Seventh Session of
Georgia State Grange, that per diem scrips to
each and all have this day been forwarded.
Should any delegate fail to receive same in
due time, I will regard it a favor if ire will

To any one who failed to hand in mileage and
per diem estimate, as requested by me during
the Session, and to whom I have issued incorrect

Messrs. Allison Bros., Memphis :
Gentlemen— l used the COMPLETE CLEANER bought of *ou, on my entire crop last year, and
it .lives me pleasure to add my testimony to its oxcelleneo, The machine does all you claim far it:
thoroughly cleans the cotton of all dust, dirt and small trash, loosens and lightens it. thus enabling
the gin to do better and more loss, with less draft and less wear of machinery; makes merchant
able cotton of much that would be a total work, and while in everyway it adds greatly to the con
venience of the ginner. it adds equally as trucli to the pi'ojit of the planter. Especially in these
days of low prices, is it “an indispensable machine to every cotton planter or ginner'FORREST
Pope Station, Mips.. February 23d, 1876.
Messrs. Allison Bros., Memphis, Tenn.:
Gentlemen—l liavo been running the “Complete Colton Cleaner” bought of you, tor about six
weeks. In that time the machine has more t han twice paid for itself in ginning my own crop : be
sides moro than making the money paid for it, in the additional tolls I have charged on custom
cotton. I have had cotton hauled ten mules to my gin, passing other gins on the way, by men who
had gins of their own, but no cleaner. [ think that not only is the rough and nadlv picked cotton
improved by the use of the “C. C. C.” but from close obtevation of my own and neighbors’ cot
ton I am fully convinced there is no cotton gathered that it will not greatly increase in value, and
lam sure the ordinary cottons are improved from one to four cents per pound. In using the *‘C.
C. C.” not only is the cotton improved fully as much as you claim, but the power required to run
tlio gins is greatly lessened, lint room is kept cleaner, aid the whole operation of ginning is render
ed more agreeable, satisfactory and prifitiible. J. It. FAWCEIT

WATER ELEVATORS AND PURIFIERS.
The only Machine known to SCIENCE that will thoroughly AGITATE
and PURIFY FOUL and BAD WATER in cisterns and wells.
Tlie principle upon which it does its work, is to agitate the entire body of water and at the same
time distribute pure air all through it ; and this is Nature’s method of Purification, and the only
one that can be successful.
To drink Impure water, is to drink the very Germs of Typhoid Fever, and other Inflammatory
Diseases of the Bowels, and thus bring great suffering and heavy expense upon yourself and
family.
The Public are earnestly entreated to examine and test this Machine.
They are cheap, durable, easily adjusted, and not liable to get out of order, and a child eight
years old can draw all the water for an ordinary family, from a thirty-five foot well.

IN 1865 B. M. Brooks invented while in prison
Camp Morton, Indiana, a Cotton Tress, of
which thousands are yearly sold throughout the
Southern Slates, anil hundreds in Mexico and
South America. Yet, notwithstanding tho pre
dominance of that press to all others, it has
some deficiencies that cannot well he supplied.
So in 1875, owing to tho “panic” of the past
few years, having been brought to observe more
closely the wants of the planter, J. S, Lavender,
J. M. Brooks and myself invented the one we
are now bringing before the public.
Among its chief superiorities to others, are:
1. Its compactness, aud tlie neatness of the
bale.
H. Conwenienco. A man can stand perfectly
erect to tramp in iho cotton until the box is full;
also in taking out the bale there are no obstruc
tions.
S. Portability: Its weight, is from l.sofl to
2.006 lbs., and so made that it can be hauled
from place to place without taking to pieces.
4. Durability. Jn .oustruction it requires
only 460 feet of lumber, and 1.000 lbs of iron.
