f'iegro Killed Saturday Night
The Lost Found
Mr. J. T. Winglield vvlio dissapeared
from bis home near Washington, Ga.
last week, and for whom searching
parties were organized, was found at
Fountain Camp ground last Sunday
morning. When the'enrolling party
reached that place and approached tHe
school house a noise was heard inside
and it proved to come from tlie lost
man. He * as weak from hunger and
exposure, and ill mast famished for wa
ter, though there was a plenty of it
near him.
He was given nourishment, and a
physician fromWashington lelcphoncd
for, and every thin - done to reliev e Ids
cmdition. There is no doubt lhal Mr.
Winglield was suffering from a temp -
ra r y aberration of tlie mind, as his acts
as vv\ P as his conversation proved io
the satisfaction of all who saw him.
John R >ss, colored, was shot and
kill, i at a negro frolic on Briar (heck
last Saturday night. Although there
.veil a mini her of eye witnesses to the
killing, tlie facts are hard to obtain,
owing to the reticence of the witnesses
who refuse to say vvlio tired the shot.
Suspicion however, falls on Humor
Curler colored, and the courts will
probably pass on the question of his
guilt or innocence.
