liquors. This case was also warmly

bolli sides. The Mayor entered a judg
ment of guilty and imposed a line of
S45.00 and cost. All of the lines were
paid during the day.

Great Day In Warrenton-
Last Friday was a great day for
Warrenton when thc schools of the
10th District met in convention there,
and id friendly contest. A large dele
gation of school children and others
from Thomson * were on hand • d all
report a pleasant day. A line dinner
was served to the public and in the
afternoon a good game of base bail
was seen.
Warrenton wants the convention to
meet there every year, and Thomson
votes “Yes.

Wafer Works Extended-
The Mayor and Domicil are cxlend-
ing the water works system to White
Oak street. A line ef six inch pipe is
being put down on Cleveland street
beginning near the Oil Mill ginnery
and running to White Oak. This will
give lhc* citizens of that section of town
protection in case of lire witicli they do
not enjoy nt the present. The work of
putting down the pipe is done by
Supt. Rorter.
