Mrs. Mary Ann Adams, widow’
of Robt. Adams, died at her home
six miles south east of Pelham
last Friday morning at 10 o’clock
after an illness of five weeks.
Mrs. Adams was 62 years of age
and is survived by two sons, Mess.
C. H. and R. T. Adams of this
county, besides two brothers and
one sister, Mr. C. H. Parham of
Moultrie, Ga., Mr. J. S. Parham
of Altha, Fla., and Mrs. Louis
Phillips of Doeruu, Ga.
She was born Jan. 19, 1846, in
Colquitt county Before her mar¬
riage on March 7, 1875, she was
Miss Mary Ann Parham. After
her marriage she moved to Mitch¬
ell county where she haa lived
since. She joined Shiloh Meth
odist church many years ag o i

knew her. Her remains were in¬
terred in Harmony cemetery Sat
nrday morning at eleven o’clock.
Rev. S. O Thomas conducted the
funeral services.
Misses Lessie McMath and Ma
mie Ragan left Thursday morn¬
ing for Boston Ga. where they
will spend several days visiting
relatives and friends.
Mrs. Sallie King returned Sat¬
urday evening after spending sev¬
eral mouths at Hernando, Fla.
Mrs. A. B. Cranford and moth¬
er spent Monday afternoon with
Mrs. D. A. Lawhorn.'
Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Lawhorn
and sister, Alma attended a sing
at Rose Hill last Saturday. They
report a fine time.
Mrs. D. L. Ghitto of Hernando,
Fla., will visit her aunt, Mrs. D.
A. Lawhorn in a few days.
Mr. Lawhorn reports that he
will have some ripe watermelons
the 4th. of July.
Mr. Tom Finney and lady were
out driving Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Mattie Cranford was the
guest of Mrs. Maggie Stevens Sun¬
day.
Mr. Herbert Kemp of Meigs at
tended the sing at Harmony Sun¬
day.
Mr. Ed. Culpepper spent last
Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. J. C.
Leonard.
Misses Annie and Sallie Kemp
