CHOLERA.
A Certain Cu:c forthis Disease may be found
in the use of
PERRY DAVIS’VEGETABLE PAIN KIL
LER.
Dubuque, lowa, May 5, 1855.
Gentlemen :—I feel under obligations to you
for the benefit I have received from your inval
uable Pain Killer. A few days since I assisted
in laying out and burying one of our citizens
who was supposed to have died with the Cholera
The next morning I was taken with severe vom
iting, accompanied with coldness of the extrem
ities. Warm covering and hot applications
failed to restore warmth. My wife’s famiZy, who
had used the pain Killer with success during the
Cholera season in Buffalo, in 1849, advised me
to take it. 1 took two doses at interva/s of fif
teen minutes ; a fine perspiration ensued, and the
next day, barring a little weakness. I was well
and have been since. Since my recovery I find
that several of our citizens have used rite Pain
Killer as a'remedy for Choftra, and -pronounced it
good. I therefore take pleasure in recommend
ing it to a still more extensive notice.

Dr. Geo. B. Green, —Dear Sir- In reply to
your question in regard to the action of the Ox
ygenated Bitters, I feel much pleasure in stating
that from its prompt and decisive effect in alle
viating and overcoming a severe and chronic
case of Indigestion and Dyspepsiain my own fam
ily and from a knowledge of its wonderful re
sults in curing several attacks quite as severe in
other families of my acquaintance, I consider i l
a sovereign and infallible remedy in that distress
ing complaint, and would cordially and earnest
ly recommended it to all who may be thus afllic
ted.
Respectfully yours,

THE PHILOTOKEN,
OR, FEMALE’S FRIEND.
i FOR THE CURE OF PAINFUL AND DIS
ORDERED MENSTRUAT ION, A PRE
VENTIVE OF MISCARRIAGE,
AND A CERTAIN REMEDY
FOR ALLAYING SYMPA
THETIC NERVOUS
AFFECTIONS, &c.
Much of the suffering attendant upon the lives
of females is owing to obstruction and irregular
ity of their peculiar seasons, which if not relieved
renders them invalids fcr life.
I Irregular Menstruation, while it is one cause of
I the decline of health and beauty, is the principal
! cause also of barren ess. As well might vegeta
tion flourish, robe itself i>. loom and bear its gol
’ den fruit, independent of the genial influence of
, sunshine and showers, as that Woman should
: wear the bloom of health and fulfil her high des
! tiny, while suffering from irregularity in her sea
i sons.
I The merits of “The Philotoken” as a remedy
i in “female complaints” are of a nature that can
j ROt with piopriety be set forth in an advertise-i
I ment. A parnphlel however accompanies each
i bottle, with full particulars, and a single trial is
- warranted to prove its efficacy. Heads of fami
-5 lies, Physicians, and Planters, who have sickly
I servants, will find a remedy in the Philotoken
■ worthy of theii attention.
E3U Purchasers to avoid imposition will ob.
f serve that the genuine has my signature on the
I outside wrapper. Priee one dollar a boltlc.
