OF GEORGIA has an
nounced that several
Banks County students
were named to the presi
dential scholar list and
dean’s list for summer
semester.
The presidential schol
ar designation is given to
undergraduate students
who have earned a per
fect 4.0 grade point aver
age for the semester.
Students named to the
dean’s list have earned a
3.5 grade point average
or higher out of a pos
sible 4.0.
Students must take at
least 14 credit hours and
receive no unsatisfactory
or incomplete grades to
be named as presidential
scholars or to the dean’s
list.
Millie Camille Dalton,
Homer, a professional in
pharmacy, was named a
presidential scholar.
Those named to the
dean’s list are: Tom Wyn-
yard Bellhouse IV. Alto,
a senior in public and
international affairs; and
William Micheal Gor
don, Commerce, a senior
in arts and sciences.
Varner receives college degree
Varner receives Piedmont College degree
Alicia Varner, Homer, was among 441 students re
ceiving degrees from Piedmont College at the recent
summer commencement ceremonies.
Varner earned a master of arts in teaching (M.A.T.)
degree in music education.
