The attendance at the Catholic fair
last n'ght was great than on any night
yet, and the booths were all well pa
tronized. The fair seems to be grow*
ins steadily in popularity And the ladier
who have worked so hard for it may
now congratulate themselves npon the
success of their undertaking.
Today they mil serve a specially flue
Thanksgiving dinner from 12 o’clock
noon until midnight, and it is safe to
aay that all who patronize them will
be perfectly satisfied with it. Follow

FAIR NOTES.
Tonight is Seoret Order night and
the members of tho secret orders and
their fiends will attend in numbers.
There was a very handsome doll raf
fled off last night, and it wa* won by
Hiss Annie Noies. The throw that
won the doll was the highest ttmoouid
be thrown, three sixes.
Friday afternoon will be Children's
day. A special program will be ar
ranged for them. loe oream and lem
onade will be served and candy sold.
The little girls especially should go to
the fair and see the beautiful dolls in
the doll booth.

which has been inquiring into the cause
of trade depression in Germany; says
many great merchants of yesterday
atandt today ruined, manufacturing cit
ies are full of hungry men, numbers of
works areolosed altogether, and others
are greatly reducing their outj at,
Stocks of the German iron works are
being sold in Belgium and England for
what they will fetch In England the
general trade ontlook ia now worse
than at any time since 1894 and the
revelations of the British trade union
tyranny are consequently causing con
siderable irritation.

A New Schedule on the B. & B. Sunday
Morning
Beginning Sunday, Deoember 1, the
Brunswick & Birmingham trains will
depart and arrive as follows: Train
No. 1, for southern connections will
leave at 6;00 a. m.; No. 9 for Savan
nah will leave at 7:20 a. m ; No. 3, for
northern connections will leave a 11:10
a. m ; No, 5, for southern connections
will leave at 1.10 p. m., and No. 7 for
northern oonneotlons will leave at 8:30
p. m.
Train No 2, from the north, will ar
rive at 7:42 a. m.; No. 4, from the
sooth will arrive 12:50 p m ; No. 6,
from the north will arrive 2.50 p, m ;
No. 10 from Stvannah will arrive at
7.32 p. m., and No. 8, from the south
will arrive at 10:32 p. m.
