They will Picnic on St. Simon's Island
on July 22.
The Coutedetale Veteran's As
sochition of Glynn county met last
uight in the Rulemen's armory. The
question of giving a grand picnic
was again discussed. It was finally
decided to postpone that pleasurable
day from July 4th to July 2'2. Ou
that day the picnic will b »i .<-n on
St. Simon's island and its success is
assured since the following commit
tee will have matters in charge.
Messrs. U. Dart, 11. Kennon,
•John B. Davis, F. Joerger, C. E.
Flanders and 11. 11. Symons.
Secretary Symons was instructed
to send invitations to the dilferenl
BMociations at Waycross, Quitman
and Valdosta, and it is expected that
there will be numerous visitors from
each.
The signal and most interesting
feature of Lhe day will be the organ
nation of a branch of the associa
tion, the membership to consist ot
the sous and daughters of the vet
eraus. The committee on arrange-
I meats will meet at the Riflemen's
armorv next Monday afternoon at 4
o’clock.

interest that will take place during
1 this month in Georgia.

On the 9th the Georgia Dental So
-1 ciety will assemble at Gainesville
, and remain in session until the 12th.

will, of course attend this.

. 11th, 30th anil 10th Georgia regi
. meats will hold a reunion in Jones
boro, where again the battles ,so gal
lantly fought on bloody Helds, will be
lived over and their tragedy's re
hearsed about the camp tire ot
peace.
On the 30th the State Colored Fire
men of Georgia, will hold their an
nual tournament in Alacon. A good
many prizes will be ottered and a
general good time is expected.
