Memories were made at Happyhaus
as we gathered there for Thanksgiving
this year. Piper, Avery and Will Riley
came for the weekend before so they
could travel to Jacksonville for turkey
with their great grandmother Morris.
The boys got to work all day Satur
day throwing rocks into the creek with
Papa G and his helpers! What we call
work they call fun. Piper and Mama
G managed to run away to the shops
after getting an apple cake baked.
Emily and Galen got there for the
real turkey day. We managed to con
fuse things a bit by eating a late lunch/
early dinner and Emily was not sure if
she had missed a meal that day! Galen
discovered fishing this trip so now we
have to think about stocking the pond
again with some mountain trout for the
next time.
Godbrother Buddy Sheats came
over from Seneca SC and son John
managed to get a ride to Atlanta with
Scott Sullivan so he and Jim completed
our turkey table. We are thankful for
every minute spent with family and
loved ones. Billy Jr and Gayle went
to Ashville NC for turkey with her
brother and his family. Icing on our
cake was lunch in Macon with special
friend Emma Lea Michael on our way
back to St Simons.

News from Local Churches
From The Church Bulletins
Tim Seldin, IMC Chairman, said the
CMS EDGE curriculum is an example
of building upon the educational inno
vation and excellence of a Montessori
education.
The EDGE Program — Experience &
Discovery Guiding Education — expands
the classroom and teachers to include
experiences throughout the region and
deepens the student’s understanding
and appreciation of the community.
Tracey Tennant, CMS Board of
Trustees Chairman, Tom Brubaker,
CMS Development Director, and Nicki
Bushway, Montessori-certified Lower
Elementary Teacher, attended the con
ference as a part of CMS' ongoing com
mitment to expanding and enriching
the educational experience for its stu
dents, staff, and parents.
“Our EDGE program is another way
that CMS is unique, and we are hon
ored to have our educational innovation
recognized as an example for the global
Montessori community,” Mrs. Tennant
said.
CMS is the only SACS-accredited
Christian Montessori School in Georgia
or Florida, and it celebrates its 20th
year in the community by providing the
only experience-driven, hands-on Mon
tessori curriculum in the region.
CMS serves students from ages 3
to 6th grade. Limited enrollment and
financial aid opportunities are avail
able. □
