MENTOR PROGRAM WINS FAIR BOOTH COMPETITION
The Madison County Mentor Program won first place in the Fair Community Booth
Competition this year at the Madison County Lions Club Fair. The exhibit highlighted
three areas of the program: “It’s Easy to Become a Mentor; It’s Fun to Be a Mentor; and
Mentors Make a Difference!” Shirley Aaron, director of the program, said, “Our wonderful
mentors are currently befriending 171 students in the county’s schools. Although I am very
thankful for this, we still have a long waiting list of students who want and need a mentor.
I hope that the people who visited the fair exhibit will realize how easy and fun it is to
make such a great difference in the life of a child.” For more information, call 706-338-3689

PSALM 126:3... “The Lord
hath done great things for us;
whereof we are glad.” When the
Lord led us to start Athens
Christian School back in 1970,
we adopted Psalm 126:3 as our
school verse. And the Lord has
done great things for ACS over
these past forty years.
We keep our tuition very
moderate and only charge for two
and one-half students if a family
has three or more children.
We have beautiful and spacious
facilities so ACS students can
enjoy opportunities in athletics,
music, and drama.
We invite you to come for a
visit soon. You will see that “the
Lord hath done great things for us
whereof we are glad.”
