We are glad to see in our mid t this
week Prof. C. W. Langworthy, of
Rome, who is paying a visit to this part
of his territory in the interest of his
business. He is the agent for Georgia,
Alabama and Tennessee, for the popu

and wc are glad to learn that he is
meeting with the moat flattering suc
cess in their sale in this part of the
country. Their pianos meet the wants
of the public in a cheap but valuable
instrument, and their organs aro all
that could be desired in both respects.
The Professor is an experienced tuner
of instruments, and any work entrusted
to him in this line will be promptly and
satisfactorily attended to. The experi
ence of many has clearly proven the
wisdom of dealing with a responsible
agent near homo, whose recommenda
tion and guarantee is worth considera

ers who may wish instruments or work
will give Prof. Langwortby a trial.

G. W. Jordan was brought to Cal

Mr. W. H. Bonner by which he was
to clear up and put in order a certain
portion of his land for what it would
make a certain length of time. After
living on tho place until spring, Mr.
Bonner says, not complying with the
of their agreement, Mr. It. de

a tresspass warrant which was given to

house. Jordan had provided a moans
of escape, which was a hole cut out iu
the rear of the house, just large enough
to admit his body, and this was con

the outside. This aperture, of which
the party had been advised, was
watched, and Jordan, after ho had fal*

made an attempt at exit, but the sentry
on the outside seeing his body pro
truding into the moonlight, asked him
to give himself up. Jordan re-entered
the house, but satisfying himself it was
useless to offer resistance, surrendered
his person. His trial came off Mon
day, and on the warrants he was bound
over. He is now under bond ot 8275

This unrivaled preparation has per
formed some of the most astonishing
cures that are recorded in the annals of

trying different remedies, spending thou

entirely recovered their health. r*

This certifies that I have recommended tho use of
Dr. Tutt’S Expectorant for diseases of the lungs
for the' past’ two years, and to my knowledge many
bottles have been used by my patients with the hap
