FAIRVIEW PRINCETON.
The mill has been stopped this
week to do some repairs.
The protracted, services have
been running all this week at this

hp'now, we are glad to note.
We are glad to hear that they
are going to build a bathing place
ht the old waterworks pond. Let
'the advooaters of the dispensary
take a bath free if you please.
Some of our ladies are having
some sport sitting on the banks
of the middle' Ooonee and listen
ing to the rippling stream and
getting a bite once and awhile,
hot catohing any fish if they do I
don’t see them.

East Athens notes.
Memorial day was observed by
the young people on our side of
town by rambling through the
woods hunting wild flowers till
night when they ajl assembled at
the home of Mrs. Ginn, on Arch
street, where they enjoyed the
rest of the evening with a musi
cals.
The West Athens boys crossed
bats with the East Athens Night
School on the campus memorial
day, but just like it always is
when they go against an East
Athens boy. The west side boys
bit the dust in dofeat before the
East Athens agregation in a hot
game of 9 to 4. The feature of
the game was the pitching done
by Willie Watkins for the night
school.
Mr. Young Davis who has
charge of the musio at the East
Athens Baptist ohurch and Sun
day School has arranged to have
Prof. J. B. Vaughan and the
Vaughan children here at an early
date, the announcement will be
made later. We want to say to
those that have not heard the
children sing that they are the
most wonder ful singers to their
living today. One of the
great features of their singing is
the little 10 year old boy, who
leads the class with great accuracy
and the little girl sings the peace
entitled “I Will Kdow My
Mama.” Lookout for the an
nouncement later.
Mr. J. H. Davis, of Wiuterville,
spent Sunday night with his
brother, Mr. Young Davis,
Arch street.
The East Athens Baptist Sun
day School is beginning to arrange
for their great annual picnic on
the 8rd Saturday in May. This
picnic is always looked forward to
with great interest as the officers
of the school spare no time nor
panes in making everyone who at
tend this occasion enjoy them,
selves.
Mrs. Clements of Uhion Point
is visiting her sister Mrs. R. G.
Smith, on Arch street for a few
days.
Mrs. L. F. Ginn, of Americus,
has been visiting her mother, Mrs.
Lester, on Poplar street for a few
days.
Quite a number of our people
went up to Center Sunday to the
all day singing.
