PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
FAILURE TO MONITOR
The Safe Drinking Water Rules of the
Georgia Department of Natural Resources
have established the minimum number of
drinking water samples to be analyzed by
each public water system for the detection
of NITRATE and VOLATILE ORGANIC
Houston Times-Joumal
CHEMICALS.
The Grand Prix Mobile Home Park
Public Water System reports that it has
failed to submit the required number cf
drinking water samples for the analysis of
NITRATE and VOLATILE ORGANIC
CHEMICALS for the monitoring period
January 1 through December 31,1993.
The public has no assurance of safe
drinking water when the supplier fails to
monitor the drinking water quality.
An adequate sampling program in
compliance with the Georgia BPD as it
applies to chemical monitoring of public
water systems will be implemented as soon
as entering into contract with the State of
Georgia EPD Drinking Water Program.
Non-compliance was due to the death
of park co-owner who was overseeing the
daily operation of the business. All previous
records and correspondence pertaing to
EPD requiremenbs and park records were
destroyed in the tornado disaster which
occurred in Eatonton, Putnam County,
Georgia during the latter part of 1992.
