On Sunday, May 29, at 4:30
p.m. the children and grandchildren
of Ms. Ellen K. Milton held her a
surprise “Mother of the Year”
banquet. Over 80 guests were in
attendance at the banquet held in
Perry at the Holiday Inn. Ms.
Milton’s children in attendance
were: Maxine Davis from Albany,
Mary K. Thomas and Barbara
Maubry from Miami, Fla., Kenneth
and Anthony Milton from Tuscon,

to become man and wife
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Watson of

Stephen Eugene Jordan, son of Mr.

The bride-elect is the
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Watson of Perry, Mr. and
Mrs. John Adams of Hartwell, Ga.,
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Moon of
Elberton, Ga., and the great
granddaughter of Juanita Watson
and the late Tommy and Gertrude
Watson of Perry.
She is a 1994 graduate of Elbert
County Comprehensive High
Mrs. Glenn Manley of Portsmouth,
Ohio, arid his paternal grandparents
are the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla.
The bride-elect attends the
University of Georgia where she is
majoring in English. The future
bridegroom also attends the
University of Georgia where he is
enrolled in the pre-med program.
Both are 1992 graduates of
Mclntosh High School in Peachtree
City.
The wedding will take place
Saturday, August 6, 1994, in the
Southwest Christian Church in
East Point, Ga.
Az. Also in attendance were Ms.
Milton’s mother, Ms. Minnie
Kaigler, two son-in-laws, one
daughter-in-law, 10 grandchildren,
and a host of friends.
This was truly an enjoyous and
memorable event for Ms. Milton.
Ms. Milton and family would like
to thank all that attended and for
their generous gifts. This day
would not have been a huge success
without their participation. \

The future groom is a 1988
graduate of Elbert County
Comprehensive High School and a
1992 graduate of the University of
Georgia with a B.S. in animal
science. He is currently employed
at Reliance Electric in Athens, Ga.
The wedding will be held
Saturday, June 25, 1994, at 3 p.m.
in the Falling Creek Baptist Church
in Elberton. Friends and relatives
are invited to attend. A reception
will be held immediately following
the ceremony.
