Smalley installed 1994-95 president of Perry Rotary Club
John Smalley has been named
president of the Perry Rotary Club.
Smalley and the club Board of
Directors for the 1994-95 Rotary
year were installed at the annual
installation banquet Monday night
at the Agricenter.
As president, Smalley is
responsible for maintaining the
club’s vitality in community
acticities and strengthening its
membership. The Rotary Club of
Perry was founded in 1968 and has
52 members.
Smalley succeeds Gillis R.
“Skip” Dawkins as president of the
club.
In his acceptance remarks,
Smalley called for the members to
become totally involved in all
aspects of Rotary service to both
the community and international
programs fostered by Rotary.
“We are members of the largest
and most effective service
organization in the world”, he said.
“While we can take great pride in
our accomplishments here and
throughout the world, there is no
shortage of new challenges that
await us. We can turn these
challenges into opportunities if
everyone does their part by being a
Rotarian every day of the week.”

The State Patrol calls the

increased participation in civic
projects highlighted by a blood

“It’s been a very rewarding year.
I wouldn’t have traded it for
anything” said Dawkins. “No job
