vows in Atlanta on June 25
Janis Ricks of Stone Mountain,
Ga., and Terry Brickie of Atlanta,
Ga., were married June 25, 1994 in
a lovely garden setting at The
Patio-by-the-River on Paces Ferry,
in Atlanta.

Buice elected to
serve on Georgia
citizen arts board
Pat Buice of Perry, an active
member of the local arts commu
nity, has been elected to serve on
the board of directors for the Geor
gia Citizens for the Arts.
Mrs. Buice was elected at the or
ganization's annual meeting held
June 1 at the Atlanta History Mu
seum in Atlanta.
Active in community affairs,
Mrs. Buice is also a former member
of the board of directors for the
Perry Area Chamber of Commerce
and is a long-time member of the
First Baptist Church in Perry as
well as the local Beltista Club.
The Georgia Citizens for the
Arts is a statewide, non-profit arts
advocacy organization that works to
promote public support for the arts
in Georgia.

The bride is the daughter of Madge
Lewis Ricks and the late Leon
Ricks of Millcdgeville, Ga. She is
the granddaughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Howell B. Lewis of Perry,
and the niece of Pauline Lewis of
Perry and James C. (Jimmy) Lewis
of Springfield, Va. After a wedding
trip, the couple will reside in their
new home in Atlanta.

Fryer and Whitehead united in marriage
Jennifer Lee Fryer became the
bride of Kenneth Whitehead, Jr., on
Saturday, June 26, 1994 at 3 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Billy Fryer of Perry and the
granddaughter of Mrs. Jerry Pierce
of Perry. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Whitehead,
Sr. of Bolingbroke.
The Reverend Jack Fryer, Uncle
of the bride, performed the double
ring ceremony. A program of
wedding music was provided by
Susan Poole. Escorted to the altar
by her father, Jennifer was given in
marriage by her parents. In a
lovely outdoor setting at the home
of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Tim
Watson, the couple spoke their
vows before an altar of ferns and
other greenery.
The bride wore a dress of pink
embossed cotton. She carried a
nosegay of sweetheart roses and
baby’s breath.
Julie Fryer, sister of the bride,
served as Maid of Honor. She wore
a dress of ecru and carried a nosegay
of daisies, carnations and baby’s
breath.
