by all.
Workers needed for flood recovery
State Labor Commissioner
David Poythress has announced that
the hiring of temporary workers for
the clean up and repair of the flood
ravaged areas of Georgia will begin
early next week. Anyone can begin
registering for work immediately at
any office of the Georgia
Department of Labor.
Poythress applied to the U.S.
Department of Labor for a sl2
million grant to hire workers to
help in the recovery effort. $4
million has already been approved,
with the remaining $8 million
expected to be approved later.
The money will be used to hire
people who are out of work as a
direct result of the flood and the
long-term unemployed to help clean
up after the flood subsides and to
repair public facilities. To be
considered long-term unemployed, a
person must be presently out of

Sports Chiropractic program is valuable
I’d like to introduce the latest
addition to our Total Wellness
Program; Sports Chiropractic--You
might ask yourself why we’re
introducing yet another specialty to
Perry Chiropractic. Well, the
answer is simply—Our patients can
benefit.
So many of our patients are
“weekend warriors”, the warm
weather always draws us to our
favorite sports: golf, tennis,
bicycling, jogging, even water
skiing. The challenge is that many
times our bodies aren’t able to keep
up with the plans we make for
them. Our spines might call it
quits at the 10th hole when we
planned for eighteen. How about
the time we were going for an all
day bike ride only to have to turn
around after one hour. I think you
get the idea. You might even
wonder “what’s the difference?”
Actually, until this point, I
haven’t told you what makes sports
Chiropractic different. You see,
this new science wasn’t really
discovered until the athlete
recovered from his or her injury.
Athletes would get better through
Chiropractic, but then they
discovered that they were returning

to their sport even better than
before the injury. You see athletes,
especially professionals, demand
quite a bit more from their bodies
than we do. Races are measured in
l/1000th a second. Distances in
l/100th of a inch. What’s at stake?
Whole careers, gold medals and
multi-million dollar salaries. These
kind of athletes can’t settle for a 98
percent recovery. 100 percent is the
only way they can live. Enter
Chiropractic.
What could be a more perfect
match? A science offering
restoration of body mechanics and
functions. We evaluate the injury
without injections and dyes. No
exploratory surgeries, no stays in
the hospital, and most importantly,
we never use drugs or surgery.
Athletes love it!
How successful is it? Well at
this point, Chiropractic doctors are
involved in every major sports,
professional and Olympic. That’s
