Holy Week services begin Monday
Holy Week Services, sponsored
by the Perry Ministerial
Association, will be held this year
at the Perry United Methodist
Church. The meetings begin each
day, Monday, April 10 through
Friday, April 14 at 12:05 p.m.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.
First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church choir and
drama team will present "One
Voice", a dramatic musical, for
Easter. Presentations will be on
Sunday, April 9, at 7 p.m., and on
Monday, April 10, at 7 p.m. The
musical tells of die life of Jesus as
told from the perspective of
Nicodemus and Joseph of
Arimethea.
First Place is a Christ-centered
health program. The next session of
First Place will begin on May 3, at
5:45 p.m. The class runs for 13
weeks and costs S7O. Please call

if you are interested in
participating.

being taken through April 9.
XYZ group will be on tour to
Savannah, April 20 and 21.
Student Conference will be held
at die Agricenter April 21 and 22.
Approximately 20 homes are

prior to the Jay Strack Crusade,
beginning April 16 and April 23.

Rehoboth Baptist
Palm Sunday will be celebrated
with special music concerts in both
morning worship services at
Rehobodi Baptist Church. Allen
Burrell will present a concert ol
sacred music during the 8:30 a.m.
service that will focus on the
message of Easter and our response

Burrell is a member of First
Baptist Church, Perry, and is die
music teacher at Morningside
Elementary School in Perry.
The Adult choir will present its
Easter Cantata during the 11 a.m.
service. The choir will be directed
24-hour Cancer Society Relay for
Life set May 19-20 at Perry High

Walkers and runners will go
around the clock in the battle
against cancer during the American
Cancer Society Relay for Life May
19-20.
The 24-hour event will begin at
6 p.m. at Perry High School.
Relay for Life is the American
Cancer Society version of a relay
but with a different twist. This is a
family-oriented event during which
participants can walk or run around
a track, relay-style for 24 hours.
Participants camp out around the
track and when they aren’t taking
Uieir turn on the track, they take
part in family activities.
According to Andy Flowers, co
chairman of the event, teams from
companies and organizations collect
donations and can win prizes for
their efforts.

awareness raiser about progress
against cancer as it is a fund raiser,”
Flowers said.

will reduce the risk of getting
cancer, and to expand cancer
research programs,” Flowers added.

FOR A SITE LISTED ON HAZARDOUS
SITE INVENTORY
This is to inform all interested persons
that a compliance status report has been
submitted for Georgia Power-Flint EMC #7
116/16 KV Substation, E of Davis Rd., 0.1
miles south of Warner Drive, Warner
Robins, Houston County, Georgia, HSI
#10034. The Georgia Environmental
Protection Division, Department of Natural
Resources, State of Georgia (EPD) has
placed this site on the Hazardous Site
Inventory pursuant to its authority under
the Hazardous Site Response Act and
rules promulgated thereunder. As required
by the Rules for Hazardous Site Response,
the responsible party for this site was
required to investigate the site and submit
a compliance status report to EPD
summarizing the results of that
investigation. EPD is currently reviewing
the compliance status report to determine
if corrective action is needed for regulated
substances that have been released at this
site. Before EPDdecides whether corrective
action is needed, the public has the
opportunity to review the compliance status
report and provide comments to EPD about
the report. The public has thirty (30) days
from the date of this published notice to
comment on the compliance status report.
