who would like to learn how to explore the internet. Learn how to locate
friends, look up travel information, find health information and much, much
more. Learn how to bookmark what you find so that you will be able to go

This seminar is designed to get you up and running quickly with Windows
'95. You will cover the most common tasks of opening a document, getting
help, finding something on your computer, changing system settings, start

CE 707 CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT RE-CERTIFICATION. Fee -

This 6-hour Re-Certification Course is for those CNA's who did not receive
the State required twenty-four (24) hours of yearly inservice education train
ing Student must perform five (5) skills picked at random correctly to pass
the skills test. Students must also score at least 75% on the written final
examination. Both requirements must be met.
CE 717 CPR FOR CHILD CARE PROVIDERS, Fee - $50.00.
This American Heart Association approved class will provide participants
with the necessary techniques to administer this life-saving procedure to
infants and children. APPLICANTS MUST BE REGISTERED BY JANUARY
23 FOR THE FEBRUARY CLASS AND FEBRUARY 20 FOR THE MARCH
CLASS. This class will not be offered on January 10.
CE 915 FORKLIFT SAFETY CERTIFICATION, Fee - $59.00. 6hrs/0.6 CEU
This seminar satisfies OSHA requirements for Operator Certification for
individuals who operate or would like to operate a forklift. Trainees must
pass both a written test and a driving test.
CE 917 PLUMBING LICENSE RENEWAL, Fee - $46.00. 4hrs/0.4 CEU
Under House Bill 1690, Master and Journeyman Plumbers are required to
complete four (4) hours of continuing education credits each year. To assist
plumbers in meeting this requirement a 4-hour computer course from 8:30
am-12:30 pm in preparing spreadsheets for the purpose of payroll and
inventory control. Note: Participants should include current license number
on registration form.

CE 502 COMPUTER LITERACY
Starts 01/13/98. ends 03/05/98. Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00-9:30, SIOB.
Designed especially for the first-time user. This 40-hour course is to intro
duce the student to the basic operations of IBM and IBM-compatible com
puter systems by using the wordprocessing, database and spreadsheet
portions of the integrated program Microsoft Works. No prior computer
knowledge required. Textbook required.
CE 5058 USING MICROSOFT WINDOWS 95

CE 701 DENTAL ASSISTING
Starts 01/07/98, ends 03/18/98 Monday and Wednesday, 6:30-9:30 p.m.,

This 60-hour course will provide information needed to form a basic under
standing of the role and responsibilities of a dental assistant. Lab classes at
various points during the course will be held at a local dentist office so that
hands-on experience may be obtained. These labs will include chairside
assisting and instrument transfer, alginate impressions, temporary fabrica
tion, custom-tray fabrication, x-ray procedures and infection control.

ples for the language and an overview of terms that are practical and com

Leam the proper techniques of collecting blood samples. Liability insurance
and national exam fee included in registration fee. Students must maintain
a 75% average on all written course work and complete four (4) hours of

CE 706 A PHLEBOTOMY RE-CERTIFICATION
Starts 03/16/98, ends 03/19/98 MONDAY - THURSDAY, 6:30-9:30, $89.00.
This 10-hour refresher course is designed to recertify those Phlebotomy
Technicians with their continuing education credit hours as required by the
National Healthcareer Association every two years. Applicants must be reg
istered by March 12, 1998.
CE745 INTRODUCTION TO CPT-4 BASIC CODING
Starts 01/20/98, ends 03/12/98. Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00-8:30,

This introductory course in medical coding is designed to teach the basics
of CPT-4 coding. It is intended to give theoretical knowledge and hands-on
practice in the coding of diagnoses and procedures as well as operative
procedures in controlling of data quality for optimum payment.
(Prerequisite: Working knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity
