This introductory course in medical coding is designed to teach the basics
of ICD-9 coding. It is intended to give theoretical knowledge and hands-on
practice in the coding of diagnoses and procedures as well as operative
procedures in controlling of data quality for optimum payment. (Prerequisite:
Working knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with human
anatomy and physiology.) Instructor is Dale A LoDolce, ART, CCS

providers. Topics include 2-hours of child abuse. 4-hours of disease control,
and 4-hours of nutrition. Required training necessary to work in a day care

This 36-hour class is designed to provide applicants with an understanding
of the basics of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and increase logic
skills. Topics to include PLC terminology, concepts of hardware/software
usage, plus hands-on lab experience to enhance the learning process.
Instructor is Jerry Helgeson. Textbook included in tuition fee.

INFORMATION
To register, come to the Continuing Education Department located in the
main building or call 1-800-474-1031. Applicants may register from 12:00
p.m until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 a m. until 4:00 p.m
on Friday.
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION for Continuing Education Courses will be
extended to the first six (6) applicants in each course other than one day
classes or seminars. All EARLY BIRDS will receive SIO.OO off the course
registration fee
To register in person come to the Continuing Education Office and pay the
course fee to reserve a slot in the class. Continuing Education courses are
non-credit and therefore are not covered by the HOPE Grant.
You may pay for your classes by check, money order, cash. Visa or
Master Card
Certificates of attendance are presented to those who successfully com
plete each course
CANCELLATIONS
Enrollment numbers determine whether a class makes or is canceled.
Continuing Education procedures allow registration to continue until 24
hours prior to the class starting date The decision to cancel any class is
based on enrollment at this time.
Please register early to prevent cancellation of a class that you desire as
well as get the EARLY BIRD discount
REFUNDS
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AFTER THE CLASS HAS STARTED, howev
er: in those instances of class cancellations due to low registration, each
person is notified and full refunds will be issued by the Business Office with
in two to three weeks. ALL REFUNDS MUST BE REQUESTED PRIOR TO
THE FIRST SCHEDULED CLASS SESSION.
