DELTA EPSILON CHI OFFICERS ELECTED - Delta
Epsilon Chi (DEX) is a national business association for
college students who are interested in marketing, mer
chandising or management. A primary objective of DEX
is to develop competent, entrepreneurial, self-reliant,
cooperative leaders. New officers for the MGT DEX chap

Chuck Curtis is helping to “build the bridges” between
Middle Georgia Technical Institute and Peach County High
School as he teaches Electronics to his students at MGT as
well as to 18 Peach County High students For the first time,
using a Tech Prep cooperative agreement, the juniors and
seniors at PCH are dually enrolled and are receiving acade
mic credit at both schools Congratulations Mr Curtis, PCH
and MGT for your cooperation and innovation!

Middle Georgia College requires a student to complete a chosen course

Executive Assistant of the Houston County Development
Authority, mv duties vary from answering the most general
request to assisting a prospect who is looking at locating a
multi-million dollai facility in Houston C ounty. Middle

my technical skills such as tv ping, accounting, and office
administration Even more importantly, it helped huild mv
confidence allowing me to handle a vanetv ol people and 'll
uations with sell assurance, skill, and success furthermore.
I gamed precious friendships and associations that I have
found to he a valuable network of sup|x>rt and information
f inally. Middle (ieorgia Tech served as a stepping stone to
further my education I am now pursuing mv associate
degree at f ort Valley Stale College.

Georgia Technical Institute lias given me the hands on expe
rience needed to succeed in the working environment With
the help ol the Marketing Instructor. Beth Burris, I gained
the knowledge and experience necessary not only to com
plete my program but also to find gamtul employment with
Houston County Development Authority The (acuity and
stall were all very encouraging and willing to help me reach
mv goal, and lot that I am very thankful I encourage all stu
dents attending MG I to gel the most out of their education,
it can and will be beneficial upon completion Now. because

MGT offers three new credit programs
Beginning with the Winter
Quarter. Middle Georgia Tech
will offer three new programs
designed to meet community and
employment market needs. The
new programs are Aviation
Maintenance Technology,
Aerospace Tirol Design, and
Machine Tool Technology. All
three programs will begin as day
time programs initially. Essential
core classes lor each ol these pro
grams will be offered Winter
Quarter.
Aviation Maintenance
Technology will be an FA A certi
fied program designed to prepare
graduates for employment in
occupations involving the mainte
nance and repair of a variety ot
aircraft. It will emphasize a com
bination of aircraft maintenance
theory anil practical application
AM I will lx- an eight quarter pro
gram. The curriculum includes
