Hettie L~ Andrews
Services for Hcltie L. Andrews of Perry
were held July I at Sharon Primitive Baptist
Chruch in Jacksonville. Fla. Burial took place
at Riverside Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
Fla.
Bom in Worth County, she was a former res
ident of Jacksonville. Fla. and she had resided
in Perry for 16 years. She was a homemaker,
widow of George Felton Andrews and a mem
ber of Sharon Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters. Myra
Wheclus of Kathleen and Mae Moody of
Jacksonville. Fla.; sister, Edna Mott of
Altlanta: granddaughters, Miriam Wheelus of
Kathleen and Cindee Moody of Jacksonville,
Fla.; eight great grandchildren and one great
great grandchild.
Watson-Hunt Funeral Home had charge of
arrangements.

Services for Virginia Robinson Pierce, 89.
who died June 29. 1998, w'ere held at Christ’s
Sanctified Holy Church July 1. 1998 with the
Rev. Ben Jcmigan and the Rev. Leon Stewart.
Burial was at Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church

Bom in Tucker. Ark. and a former resident
of Greensboro. N.C., she had resided here for
14 years. She was a homemaker, widow of
Willie Forbes Pierce and a member of Christ’s
Sanctified Holy Church.
Survivors include his sons, A.J. Brooks of
Wilmington. N.C. and R.C. Brooks of Perry;
daughter, Vonia McVay of Huntsville, Ala.; 11
grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; six
great great grandchildren and one great great
great grandchild.
Watson-Hunt Funeral Home had charge of
arrangements.
Homer David Knight
Services for Homer David Knight, 85. who
died June 29, 1998, were held July 1. 1998. at
Watson-Hunt Chapel with Elder Gordon
Buchanan officiating. Burial was at Perry
Memorial Gardens.
Bom in Decatur County and a previous res
ident of Indianapolis, Ind., he had resided in
Perry for 54 years. He was a mechanic for
George C. Nunn & Son for 39 years before
retiring in 1984. He was a member, former
deacon, treasurer and Sunday School teacher at
award opportunity, and many
other special incentives.
