Houston Lake Baptist Church
to host Vacation Bible School
Houston Lake Baptist Church in Perry will hold Vacation Bible
School from Aug. 3 through Aug. 7, 9 a.m. until noon each day. The
Bible school is open to children four years old through sixth grade.
On Aug. 1, a pre-registration party will be held, complete with
games, a space show, a moon walk, a dunking booth, food and prizes.

Single adult breakfast planned
by Centerville First Baptist
On July 23, at 6:30 a.m., the Centerville First Baptist Church singles
will hold a dutch treat breakfast, with a short program of “morning
encouragement” at Shoney’s, Russell Parkway,Warner Robins. For

Garmon Street Baptist plans
activities for children
The Youth Choir of First Baptist Church, 210 Garmon St., Warner
Robins, will hold a concert on July 26, at 4 p.m. The theme is “A New
Beginning: Changing to Make God Happy.”
Each Sunday except the fourth Sunday, a “Jesus Jam" is held at 5
p.m. in the church’s New Beginning Center. The programs are for chil
dren, 6 to 12 years old. This is a cooperative ministry between First
Baptist/ Garmon Street, and the International City Church of God, and
includes prizes, games, songs.a live band and stories. For more infor

Perry UMC young people
attending Youth Camp 1998
Young people from Perry United Methodist Church are attending
Youth Camp 1998 this week at Camp Mclntosh, Indian Springs State
Park, in Jackson The theme for the week’s activities is “Get off the
fence..the world awaits,” and the camp pastor is Jim Dominey from
Columbus. The local group left by bus July 19 and will return on
Saturday at 10:30.
Revival and ‘Youth Jam’
planned at New Life of Perry
New Life Church of Perry will hold a revival beginning July 24 at
7:30 p.m.
Services will also be held on July 26 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Evangelist and Sister Marshall Clack will be the guest speakers.
On July 25 at 3 p.m., the church will host a Youth jam at Rozar park.
Hot dogs will be served and a softball game will be played.
The church is located 2.8 miles south on U.S. 41 past Westfield
School.
Crossroads Methodist making
big plans for month of August
Crossroads United Methodist Church, 1600 Mam St., Perry, has big
plans for the month of Aug.. Special events will begin on the first
Sunday, Aug. 2 with guest preacher, former pastor. Rev. Ronnie
Register preaching at the morning service at 10:55 a.m. A covered dish
lunch will follow the service.
On Aug. 2 at 6 p.m., the “One Heart” ladies trio from Perry
Presbyterian Church will sing along with the Crossroads Choir.
On Aug. 16 at 6 p.m, the movie, “The Apocalypse" will be shown.
A pizza supper will be served at 5:30 p.m.
On Aug. 23 through Aug. 26, United Methodist Evangelist Rick
Bonfirn will preach in revival services. Services will be at 10:55 a.m.
and 7 p.m. on Sunday and at 7 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday evenings.
On Aug. 20, at 6 p.m., the church will host a Saturday Night Block
Party for young people. A side street will be blocked off and there will
be refreshments, games and a live band. This is the church’s third annu
al block party and is open to the public.
