Goblins, Ghouls, Tricks, and
Treats, its Halloween again.
Trick-or-Treal will he observed in
Perry Oct 31 trom 6 p.m. until 8
p m., according to local officials.
Last year Halloween was
observed in the City on an alter
nate dale so trick-or-treaters
would not be out during a week
end evening
Perry Mayor Jim Worrall said
that because of complaints from
citizens about that change, coun
cil decided to allow observance to
fall on Halloween night this year.
Police Chief Potter and the
National Confectioners
Association have some tips on
how to help make this Halloween
safe and fun.
Costume Safety:
* Use make-up or face paint
instead of masks, hut if masks are
used, make sure that they fit
properly and have holes, large
enough for mouth and eyes.
* Choose costumes that are
marked flame retardant.
* Wear light-colored clothing
at night, short enough to prevent
tripping. Add reflective tape or
reflectors to dark colored cos
tumes.
* Make props such as magic
wands and swords out of card
board, rather than metal or wood.
