Harris scored a touchdown
with 4:29 left in the game to close
the score to 24-12.
After the game. Panther Head
Coach George Collins said the
win was not pretty, but it was
important and it did count
He said the Panthers would
have to play a much more physi
cal game against Macon County
in Montezuma Nov. 6 when sec
ond place in the region standings
is on the line.
“We played six straight teams
which were ranked in the prcsea :
son. We had to get up and stay up
through that time,” he said of the
momentum Perry had earlier in
the season.
He had particular praise for the
passing game which contributed
two Panther touchdowns and set
up the third. Lane accounted for
143 yards in receptions for the
Panthers. Thomas had 58 yards
rushing while Kendrick had 62.
Collins said the Panthers
would spend the week at practice
preparing for a physical game
from the Bulldogs at Tom Adams
Field at 8 p.m. Nov. 6.
