Baby Boomers of A. E. Beach
High School Celebrate Birthdays
The baby boomers of A. E. Beach High School are 70 years
old (or older) and still enjoying active and productive lives.
We will celebrate this blessing on Saturday,
December 17, 2016, 3:00 P.M., at the Pirates House Restau
rant, located 20 East Broad Street, Savannah, GA.
Ya’ll Come and let’s have a mini-reunion. Can you touch
your toes? can you march like the majorettes of 1964? Can
you at least still dance the BUS-STOP?
The attire for this Birthday Party is optional/casual, and the
fee is $36.00/person. Please call Phyllis Anderson-236-6600

THS Class of ‘64 Meets
The Sophronia M. Tompkins High School Class of 1964
monthly meeting is Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 3:00
P.M. in the meeting room at the Forest City Branch of the
Live Oak Public Libraries. The Forest City Library Branch
is located at 1501 Stiles Ave in the Cloverdale/Bel Aire
Subdivision. Active and Non-Active class members are en
couraged to attend.
A. E. Beach Class of 1957
The Alfred E. Beach High Class of 195 will hold its regular
class meeting on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at noon at the
EOA Building on Anderson and May streets. Plans will be
made for the 60th year anniversary. Your participation is
highly necessary, come and bring another classmate. Presi
dent is Ranell Williams

the Forest City Library in the (Cloverdale Community), on
Thursdays November 17, December 1 st and December 15,

The 7th Annual BBQ^
Brews and Bluegrass
The Next Generation (TNG), a volunteer organization
founded to benefit the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s
Hospital of Savannah, will host the 7th annual BBQ Brews
and Bluegrass, Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2-6 p.m.
Tickets are on sale for BBQ, Brews and Bluegrass, a fami
ly-friendly annual event featuring dozens of kids activities
including inflatable bounce houses, face painting, arts and
crafts, a rock wall and more. Adults will enjoy live blue
grass music, domestic and local craft brews, and tasty bites
from popular Savannah eateries. Proceeds will directly ben
efit the neonatal, pediatric and teen patients who rely on the
critical care and services of the Willett Children’s Hospital.
This event will be held Villa Marie Center on Isle of Hope
6 Dolan Dr. Savannah, Georgia. Cost is $25 for adults | $5
for ages 5-17 | Free for ages 4 and under

Farm & Gardens Farm Stand
Bethesda Academy Organic Fann and Garden
Farm Stand, 9520 Ferguson Avenue, new hours are every
Wednesday from 3-5pm. Items include: fresh produce, sea
sonal vegetables, herbs, free range eggs, a variety of plants,
goat milk soap, firewood and more. In addition, 100 percent
grass fed ground beef in various quantities are available at
the fann stand, which is raised and distributed by Bethesda
Academy’s Cattle & Beef Operation. Specialty cuts are also
available.
Unity In The Community
Unity in the Community Inc 501c3, invites all of
Savannah and sunounding cities to our monthly free Fami
ly Fun, “2016 Artists, Crafters & Entertainment Festival”
that are held every third weekend of the month from April
thru December, 2016. All events will be held at the River
Street, Rousakis Plaza on the Historic Savannah Waterfront.
Our monthly events will consist of handcrafted
ethnic arts and crafts, home based businesses and communi
ty non-profits. Entertainment will be provided by regional,
local groups and individuals performing live.
We encourage all artisans, crafters, home based
vendors, food vendors and entertainers to contact us about

Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorporated, Nu Chapter keeps
abreast that early in 1929, Mrs. Lola Mercedes Parker of
Chicago, Illinois was instrumental in planning to offset re
sults caused by the Great Depression. Since 1929 this or
ganization has moved forward for eighty seven years. Not
only are women and young ladies included in the Business
and Professional events, but men and young men play an
awesome part in the organization.
During November 2016, Nu Chapter will celebrate Ameri
can Education with a program. The messenger will be Rep
resentative AL Williams of Midway Georgia. This program
will convene on November 27th, 2016. 4:00 p.m.at Bolton
