Pfobt.bly there has never been as..orderly oi .as-.well conducted a public ball, gi ven in the , whole country .- No Sunday school singing was ever conduct¬ ed,more decorously, for it was • strictly a gathering of ladies and gentlemen, and there were no roughs present to mar the pleasure of the evening. The Reynolds string band was engag' d to furnish music for the entertainment, and this they did to there own credit and to the. satfaction of all present. The only drawback to the evening’s enjoyment was the fact of too many being present. The next social event of the kind will be given at the Uteris Hotel later in the, sea¬ son, to which occasion the young people look forward to with eager anticipation. MONEY 1.
