Our school is improving slowly. We
? .eat a loss to know why.the people
don’t patronize the school more, for
Irwinton is one of the oldest and best
.towns in Georgia, noted for its most
hospitable citizens, good health, pure
water and fine schools. When you send
your children to school in. Irwinton
they are free from temptations and
have gootl church going people to as
sociate with. Admitting Irwinton does
not do the business it did a few years
ago, there is yet a great deal of busi
ness done here. We have one up to
date dry goods store, carrying a com
plete line of dry goods, millinery, no
tions, etc., one hardware store carrying
a full line of buggies, wagons, coffins,
caskets, harness and most everything
in the hardware line. Three grocery
stores, with nice stock of family and
fancy groceries, one blacksmith shop,
one shoe and harness repair shop and
three saw miils near by.
Notice.
I have one medium size pair of mill
rocks together with one DeLoach wa
ter wheel pulleys, shafting and every
thing complete, for a first class grist
mill, that I will sell cheap. Write or
call on me if you want a bargain. Joe
Burke, Danville, Ga. tt
Mr. Frank Johnson has bought out
Mr. Cummins Lindsey and will con
tinue to sell groceries. If you need
anything in his line call to see him.
