a seated luncheon for 30
relatives and friends May 1
at the Northside Road
home of Jim and Paula
Geiger.

Health Department issues reminder
about breast examinations

As a participant in the Georgia BreasTest and More
Program, the Houston County Health Department is
reminding all clients who received mammograms and clin
ical exams last year that once is not enough. The best way
to fight breast cancer is through regular screening, even if
previous tests have been normal.
Studies show that for older women, regular screening
through yearly mammograms, clinical exams and month
ly self-examination, provides the best chance of survival of
breast cancer.
Breast cancer is over 90% curable when detected early!
According to Dianne Hill, Public Health Nurse, every
woman 50 or over should have a mammogram and clini
cal breast examination every 12 months, even if there is
no history of breast cancer in her family.
Women 50 or over who have not had these important
tests because of the cost may be eligible for BreasTest and
More.

Muffins

2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup sour cream
2 sticks butter, melted
(Kelly uses oleo)
Fold flour and sour
cream together. Add
melted butter and stir in.
Drop in tiny muffin tins
2/3 full. Bake at 350
degrees 15 minutes.
Kollyn was presented a
wedding gift of a footed
cache pot by the hostesses.

salad served over a wedge
of fresh pineapple, aspara
gus in balsamic vinai
grette. tomato aspic on let
tuce and lemon meringue
nests.

University of Georgia
School of Law and is a

Association and the
Gridiron Secret Society.
Upon graduation he will
return to Perry to work for
